I have had several VW's as rentals in Germany. Both gas jobs and Diesels. Not uncommon to cruise along at 220 / 240 kph, so the 140 isnt too bad ;) The cars are very stable there, and i have tipped north of 260 on a burst. Of course it does no good stateside, but the cars are capable.

Likewise. I like the speed limit signs there. The red circle with a line through it. HAHAHAHAHAH Fastest I got up to on the autobahn was around 250K. A BMW M-5 blew past me like I was nothing!!!!

I like the mkv gti a lot! I am really fond of the DSG transmission they coupled it with too. the mkvi should be hitting dealerships sometime this summer, and all of the mkv's are already produced

try driving the stretch between Calgary and Edmonton where you do 140 and get passed... alot.... :)

From what I hear from a few import friends. A good bit of the "fast" imports either hung it up or they are drifting now and not drag racing.

New tires. Hankook ventus rs2.315/30/18. There about a full inch wide than my 305 Nittos. Tried getting them mounted tonight but everywhere that was close to my garage said they couldnt mount a tire this wide. I'll just take them tomorrow to the usual place i go to.
