Drove the LR3 today. Great freakin car. Rides smooth as hell. Not the fastest thing on 4 wheels, but definitely blows the doors off my truck... but then again what doesn't. Extremely nice SUV IMO. Tons of space, tons of comfort, shit gas mileage. Not something I'm ready for at this point in my life, but some day I'd love to own whatever the current version is :)


Sooooooooooo about hunting down an STI. Fuggin ridiculous. None around this area that are listed online, except for 1 at baeirl (spelling?) and it magically wasn't there when I went to look. Awesome.

I also worry about the reliability of that car, because they apparently love to crack ringlands.. even when stock. Not sure why. For some reason the STI has always seemed to fight with predetonation with the USDM motor they use. I remember in 04 when it was released, they had hooorrible knock from the factory and issued a retune very quickly.

I'll figure something out.

Was the one at baierl black? That car has been gone for a while now. IMHO they were asking wayy too much. Are you looking for a DD or something to replace the Cobra. (BTW whats the story on that I didn't know you got rid of it if you even got rid of it and why?)

Basically, I'm just considering downsizing from 2 cars to one since my lease on my hummer will be up in november (but I can extend for 3 months if I want). I'm doing it for financial reasons mostly, but there are only a few guys on here that I'll actually talk about finances with, I won't get into it in a public forum, but basically last year = very negative gross income for me :(

I'm also going to go to go back to school this fall, either here in pittsburgh or in omaha nebraska. Where I'll be will play a huge part in what I do. If I move to omaha, I'm going to put the cobra up for sale and tuck it away in storage for sure. If I go to school here, I'll probably still be too busy to really enjoy it so I'm thinking of getting something that will be a nice daily driver and still go out and be a hooligan in from time to time.

When I get out and start practicing I'll be making pretty good money so I'll probably find my way into something nasty again, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Never too sure what the future holds.


My only disclaimer is that pretty much everything I'm saying right now can probably be written off until I do something and come to a conclusion of some sort.

But long story short: no, the cobra is not sold and not being listed for sale at this point in time. I may decide to go that route, but only time will tell.
