Thank, and yeah I made some subtle references instead of just letting the cat out of the bag. Got a smoking lease deal (well below what VWoA was advertising on TV) on a 2010 CC with DSG transmission & iPod integration.
I found some used & never installed OEM European blinkers (clear lights above the fog lights) and some polished 3.5" rolled exhaust tips that I on it Saturday. Looks a hell of a lot better already. I'd like to do a drop/rims, but that'll most likely be used stuff (springs only = new shocks after 30k miles or so, generally), so I want to try to scoop up some coilovers and drop it right. I have some pretty interesting wheels in mind... you guys might not be a fan. They're for a german car, but they're not built for a Volkswagen... and they're a pretty aggressive offset

I know what's been said above doesn't make much sense to at least 90% of the people that read this message, so the short version is that my car developed some smoke on start up just before Carlisle, and by the time we made the round trip, it was smoking pretty bad. Pistons were banged up across the board and nearly catastrophic in #7, heads were in great shape though. Took my car to Tim's thinking it was a valve guide/valve seat problem (at 13,450 miles?), and he discovered all of damage to the #7 piston as soon as he started going through some diagnostics of the car. After that we decided on doing a .020 over and Diamond Racing pistons. Couple weeks later, she's back and better than ever, all thanks to Tim!! I'll go into more detail about just how good Tim's been to me later, but that's about the quickest rundown I can give you guys for now
