If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

Soda blasting won't effect the metal in any way. Where most other blast media's can warp it or take some metal off. The soda blast will only take off the paint. It's cool stuff.

I belive its to abrasive, the soda blast will just take the paint off the hood without pitting or damageing the hood its self. I called a place down in Bridgeville today, 6 weeks behind the guy said. So I said Id call him back. Place in Bulter only does commercal jobs, houses etc.

    Anyone know anywhere?

On a side note, I GOT THE STANG BACK THIS MORNING!! Whole car is spotless except the flakeing hood!

Envirosafe is a media blasting company that used to be ( and might still be ) on Neville Island, about 3 minutes off of route 79. They did my '66 way back when...the undercarriage, engine compartment and interior ( those areas can be grit blasted as that metal won't warp from the heat ), as well as the exterior ( with plastic media, which generates no heat and will not warp the metal ). They also cleaned out the car and primed it all over with the epoxy primer I supplied, so the car wouldn't get any surface rust while it was in the body shop. I think the owner's name was / is George. I'd give them a call. They also blasted my Dad's '57 TBird and many other cars that my Charlie Baranowski ( local restorer ) has restored.

Also - there used to be a place in Monessen ( I think ) called Ricks Custom Polishing or something like that, and I think he did media blasting.

Good luck, and congrats on getting the car back!!

Stupid question as I've never looked into it, but where are you going to be cost wise with stripping a stock hood and having it refinished versus an aftermarket glass hood, or even a very nice one from a salvage yard (scuff and shoot ready)? Seems like a lot of hassel to save a stock hood.

Yeah, guy at Encirosave said they are 6 weeks behind. Talked to Geroge, great guy. I think I am going to have to end up waiting and taking it to him.

So Envirosafe is in Bridgeville now? I didn't know that. Sure would be nice if he could knock out your hood real quick. It should only take him 20 minutes tops...

I'd give all that + my heart and brain... as long as I lasted 5:41 before I expired.

At about 1:50, seems like he's flat-out at ??? 150-160 and he's looking around at the instrumentation like he's on a Sunday drive.

I called so many places today I think it was Envirosafe. I belive it is on Arch Street in Brigdeville. I will have to go through my sea of notes to check.

Either way it feels great to have it back.

I noticed that too. My eyes would probably be popping out of my head at that speed...

You get used to the speed. I lived in Germany for 3 years, after I moved back I had a hard time not driving 130-150 lol
