I'm not sure, hopefully soon. I still have parts to buy for it, and really don't want to till I sell all my old stuff. I'm running out of room in my garage LOL

Washed and detailed the Cobra last night. Today I took it over to my Dad's building to store it and actually bring my '66 home for the week to get it ready for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix events that start next weekend. The poor girl hadn't even been started since October...

Anyway, while I was opening up the building a guy pulls up in a sweet Porsche 996 Carrera 4 - a 2001 model. He's looking at my Cobra, and as he hops out of the car he says he also used to own a '94 Cobra. We talked for a good while, during which time it rained for maybe 1 minute on my clean car. After more talking, he says he still has a nice set of tan Cobra floormats that he'd like to give to me. I tell him that's really nice, but that I'd gladly pay for them. Not only does he refuse, but he says he'll drive 10 minutes to his place and bring them back to me. 20 minutes later he's back with the floormats and they are simply gorgeous, as he removed them from his 9k mile car when he bought it and replaced them with black Cobra floormats. I offered him some cash again for them and again he refused to take anything. Nice guy!

Oh - and the '66 cranked like the battery was made yesterday. But dang...she sure got dusty under her cover. Tomorrow she needs cleaned up...

PVGP events start NEXT WEEKEND - the historic races at PIRC ( formerly BeaveRun).

Monday 7/16 is the invitation only show at Walnut Street. All spectators are welcome, but only certain cars are invited to the "show". It is a GREAT event - really neat stuff there.

Tuesday 7/17 is the cruise at the Waterfront. Always a good time - probably 700+ cars will be there.

Race weekend in Schenley Park is Saturday July 21 and Sunday July 22. ALL cars are welcome to the car shows. Cost is $30 and proceeds go to our charities. Honestly, this is the BEST event you'll find ANYWHERE. Well over 1000 cars of all makes and models. Amazing stuff that you NEVER see. Plus the vintage racing through the park. Truly an awesome event.

I am co-captain of the American Car Show - so come on down with your cars and have a great time. Once you come to the PVGP you will make it a permanent fixture on your calendar.

Oh...and get this...next year - 2013 - MUSTANG is the Marque ( feature vehicle ). We're going to have a HUGE turnout for that. But come down this year and check us out! Schenley Park is minutes from downtown Pittsburgh - and the show is held on the golf course - so no super-heated asphalt to bake yourself on all day.

Here is a link to the website for all of this year's PVGP events:

Lol no. I know there is quite a few people that hate the solid axle swaps into these cars.... but alas, I really don't care. I like it, and have wanted to do it for a while. If I end up wanting to go back to the IRS some day, its not a hard swap.

I love the shit out of my IRS... it would have to fall out of the car for me to want to change it. Going with different gears in the ox cart axle?

That problem SHOULD have been fixed with the FTB kit... I was more pissed that the car got pushed off the track than the axle breaking ;)
