Its terrible down here man. I live in Washington and its a complete joke because people can't drive, they are always throwing trash out their window. We have a ton of "out of town" traffic people. This includes the WV, Ohio and all the losers from the south that are working on the gas wells who have no care in the world and throw their garbage all over our roads.. And this includes all the pigs that were born and raised here in Washington.. But don't attribute it to just the Washington County people. There are a lot of pigs that drive through here from West Virginia and Texas that have NO idea how to drive.. Ask ttk about our drives from Washington to Pittsburgh, it sucks because people have no clue what they are doing..

I notice a large difference in different parts too. That extension out 70 going towards Cabella's is pretty bad. There is trash all over the place. I noticed a ton of it here the other day on my way home coming down 79 to get onto 70. Looked terrible.

Eh, you can't consider all of Wash, PA an extension of the WV panhandle. There are some nice portions. Aside from PennDOT absolutely molesting my road because they are lazy and screwing it up, where I live theres limited garbage around my roads, and were far from trash.. I do live off 79 South though, so I'm not directly in the city with a lot of the bums

Why does the turnpike only use salt on their roads whereas PENDOT dumps the cinders too. This time of year I'd rather they just use salt because it washes off with the next rain and cinders take weeks.

My work is solely with local governments (twp's, boro's, etc) in regards to thier maintenance programs and Liquid Fuels Tax Fund monies. My knowledge of larger scale practices leaves a little to be desired. But my guess is that it is mostly to do with budgets and funding. The TP and PennDOT are two completely different entities.
