Got into the Bijou hard last night (Chinese booze). A really strange thing, the taste is like bad vodka strained through burnt dirty socks, but strangely I keep going back ... I might have a problem

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump
I am a Process Engineer ... My stuff tends to go in cycles, 5-6 years ago heavy in China, 3-4 years ago, heavy in Europe, last last few years mostly US, now the cycle has swung back to China, but mostly end up in every plant at least once a year :( Was in Tianjin since Easter, now in Xuzhou, but moving to Shanghai tonigh for the weekend and next week.
Not only feel tall, but Fat ... I wish I could catch some of their metabolism
Glad to hear things are going well Dan. Now stop F-ing around and get that 387 together so you can drive the Ranger to work on Monday!

Spent most of last night sanding down a chest of drawers so I can repaint them for my daughter's room. Next comes the dresser and mirror. Then i get to change the room color. Good times...

pretty reasonable fares, comfortable, and bang on time schedule.
Finally some good timing on my part .... Got into Shanghai last night and everything was packed, it usually is here, but this was unusual. Found out the Shanghai International Auto Show is here ... Managed to score a couple of passes and had a great day there. Spectacular event :)
I'm barely able to get on the internet here, need ot get home and upload to photobucket

Life in Shanghai is exceptional, no issues here whatsoever, the people are friendly and have a long history of living and working with Westerners. I am staying in Pudong (area of Shanghai) and it's likely 10% Westerners. I am sitting outside of a Starbucks on my laptop, people walking by and I hardly get a look here.
The area where I spend most of my time (TangGu, tianjin region) is a lot different. When I'm in town I might the the only weterner you see all day. I am well hosted (taken care of) so I am a bit insulated from life unless I venture out alone. There are times there where you clearly feel out of place, even with a host. It's not danger, it's just you know you dont belong. Shanghai is comfortable.
As far as the trains, what the heck ... 300 kph (maybe 180 MPH?) on locally build high speed rail ... what could go wrong?
