Personally I think that Borla doesn't sound that good on a 2v. 4v, borla is the only way to go. That's just my opinion though

had borla on my 2v. traded wickedsnake03 on here for his SLP loudmouth for the borla he put on his cobra. I like the SLP a lot better and he likes the borla a lot better on his

I think so, I had an off road mid pipe with lm1 mufflers on one of my cars. There was no exhaust tone, just a bunch of noise. That setup lasted about 5 minutes.

I love the sound of flows with o/r mids. It might take a few different setups to find what you like the best.

It's on this thread and any other thread and pretty much 90% of Stang owners are of the same thinking... o/r X is best with straight-through mufflers and o/r H is best with chambered mufflers. If you search magnapack on here, there are two vids of my old '01... one with welded in flows and one with magnapacks. I had long tube headers which I feel def. makes a difference in the final noise, but I liked the magnapacks over the flowmasters.

However, on my '97 I had a MAC o/r H with MAC cat-back. I thought it was perfect. Loud as f*ck and just mean as hell. Yeah, MAC is some cheap sh1t, but it sounded nice!

I'll give you a run down because I spent 6 months looking at exhausts before I purchased mine.. I even met a few people to hear their setups just so I could hear what I wanted in person from different aspects.

Borla is a great exhaust, but the 2v sound just falls a little flat for my liking. I love the sound of the exhaust, and I think Borla is great all around, but damn do I hate how much better that 4v sound is. Thats the only reason I steered away from Borla. But Borla still sounds great, and it has an aggressive sound.

Magnaflow is the exhaust I went with, mainly because a lot of people don't have the straight performance exhaust. Everyone ends up going with the Magnapacks.. A O/R X Magnapack just sounded like it broke up to much for me at higher RPMs and didn't stay consistent, so I chose to go with the Performance Exhaust instead (chambered rather than straight through). The flowrates are good as well. I would say that Magnaflow really isn't "aggressive". I like the sound of it, because its clean. I get a lot of compliments on my exhaust. It's quiet at idle, but when I put it WOT you can hear it. The exhaust clip I did of mine, you can hear me up to 1/2 mile away still in the throttle.. My girlfriend said she can hear me get off the ramp when I goto her place and thats about 3/4 mile or so away, lol..

Flowmaster is the classic sound, that basically everyone has imo. I can recognize the Flowmaster immediately. Their flow rates suck though, and a lot of people have bitched about that, so you won't see much gain in the HP department (although I know your not looking for that). However, the sound is something that always is awesome. Thats why everyone has it, because it sounds good. I know my cousins 01 KB GT that he bought originally had BBK O/R-X and Flowmaster 40's on it, and I loved the way it sounded.. But he replaced it with the Spintech's and an Catted X, and to be quite honest, it was just as loud and sounded better I think lol..

Spintech is a rare exhaust system that not a lot of people either a) know about, or b) choose to look into. My cousin actually bought Spintech's for his 01 KBGT Mustang. They sounded awesome, and I was a really big fan of them. Their flow rate is within the top competitors.

Bassani makes a really good exhaust. I think it has that "aggressive" sound your looking for. It sounds good without a catted x-pipe. Its not obnoxiously loud, but it definitely is loud enough. Flow rates are also good.

SLP is something I like, but only if I'm running a catted x and factory manifolds. Anything else, and it becomes just a bunch of garbage. SLP is a straight through muffler, just the same as the Magnapacks..

Best thing I can tell you to do is YouTube until your sick of it. That's what I did. Your aggressive might be different than my aggressive.. I have clips you can hear if you want to hear some of them. I have clips of Bassani, Spintech, Magnaflow, Flowmaster, etc.

i just put a Borla on mine and I would say it doesn't fall flat. But of course I have long tubes and a MAC prochamber. I love the sound and very little drone. Loud when I want it to be yet I can still pull thru quiet neighborhoods at nite. So happy with this purchase.

Was the person an idiot lol. Typically you can tell the sounds apart pretty easily. Or maybe I know because I have like 30 hrs into listening to exhausts for when I purchased mine. I literally have heard every setup haha.

Possibly......with the whine and the exhaust note it might be hard to tell. I've been told I'm cheating by putting GT badges on my cobra lol

IT went from factory four cats and went to catless and is now at two high flow cats. With highflow cats I think it sounds great. If you have high flow cats or stock mid pipe go with slp lm1s ( I have the lm1s). I am redoing the whole exhaust. Which will go to Longtubes, no cats and bassani catback. I agree with 1320 goat. The o/r midpipe with lm1s is beyond loud. I liked it when we cruise the blvd and every person always said how awesome it sounded, but anything past that it was stupid loud.
