What is the new show you speak of? I haven't been watching much TV lately or have I been very active on the forums. Going back to school has overtaken my life with nothing but papers and ridiculous classes. Plus I've been spending much needed time with the fiance, something we lacked last year when I was away non-stop for work.

It is called American Muscle - a show about a physical trainer who is pretty hard core. I thought I saw Larry Foote's face for a second on the preview. Premier is Wednesday at 9pm on Discovery - comcast channel 869.

Trust me dude, I'd much rather it have broken after letting go of the transbrake at 3500 after having lined up next to an unsuspecting BMW or something.

Barry - you mean to tell me you didn't pony up the $175k for that sweet Superformance Gulf GT40?

It really is one sexy car!

I saw it running on the track yesterday - that 331 sounds great through that bundle of snakes!!

Been thinking Alot today about selling all my cars except my race car and buying an exotic for weekends and car cruises and such. After getting caught street racing last year and bunch more people this year and then getting charged with felonies. I'm not seeing myself doing it anymore especially with the new job I got that I don't wanna risk. So this started popping in my head. If you were gna buy an exotic what would you buy? I would love a carrera gt but I can't find any in my price range if I decide to sell the cars. Really the one car that keeps popping out at me is the GTR.

I just spent most of the day scabbing the exhaust back together on a 1993 chevy truck for my brother....who makes way more money than I do. Three weeks ago I redid all the brake and fuel lines. During today's work we needed some parts. So he calls his wife....she rolls in the driveway in a new Yukon XL. After getting back from the parts run he tells me they got raises at work....his was worth another $30K a year. He knows that I only get one full day a week to catch up on all my work but does not think anything of taking most of it to work on his crap. Then afterwards tell me last week he bought a new pontoon...which I'll never get asked to go on because he won't ask and his wife has some psycho-assed sisters and their brats that will always be crammed on it.

    Rant over......

I don't see how you could go wrong with a GTR. Although....is that considered exotic?

Exactly what I am thinking. I already see 3 on the regular. Now I am a big Porsche guy but already had one, wouldn't mind getting another one but rather buy something I never had. Was thinking R8 as well but I think I'm too big for. Lambo especially for me is expensive to own. Viper is out of the question, hate everything about them.

I was going back and forth with viper/vette before I bought. Some earlier models for the viper of course. I started reading about the heat generated from the exhaust and feeling that on the legs and a few other little things made it seem like a PITA to drive anywhere. Power is impressive for sure but meh, could make anything run as strong. How about a quick bmw or Mercedes?

Great shot! Yeah, I wasn't with the car at all. As I've mentioned before my dad raced SCCA formula cars in the 70s. So we usually go up to the paddock and he talks to everyone he raced with. And we watch the races. Always a nice tradition.

I hate driving a viper. I hate even riding in them. The bmw really doesn't have any wow factor to me. The m5 would be a nice dd but passed that blah, and the only amg I would like is the sms which I haven't looked but is over my budget. I have found a couple used DB9s in my price range but I don't know anyone personally who has one or even where a dealer is that would work on them. I may call up underground racing since I wont be that far away from them in NC and see what they have and if they would be able to work on it.

Why do you work on it then? Tell him to spare 500 a month and buy a new one.

I always say this time is the last. But he is my brother and I end up helping again............and I'm pretty sure his wife along with her fake tits and kids have him stretched to the max.
