If he joined I'm sure she'd have to join also to watch over him. Poor bastard can't do anything without her over his shoulder. We were going on a hunting trip a couple years ago.....all of a sudden she's going also. WTH!!! Something ended up happening and he could not go...probably her doing. Dad and I went anyhow. I'm just tired of spending my limited time working on his crap when he could drop the money on a mechanic and would never feel it financially. When I have asked for help I always hear........"I can't...Kathy and I are........"

I'm not a Ford gt guy, never was. There was a compound boost one that came down for mustang week and just wasn't impressed with it even in person. I keep finding myself looking at GT2s. Found one down at SWs dealership that is pretty nice and in my budget but some of the things look ugly on it. Lot of black accents.

You mention Carerra GT - if your budget is ANYWHERE close to that, you shouldnt have an issue finding a car..... last i looked, they coudln't be had for much less than $500K

As for a GTR - i'm considering the same - part of me wants to consolidate the Jag and Vette into 1 vehicle that will be fun and fast, yet still tote the baby around if necessary - but there's very few vehicles that meet this criteria, and the GTR is one of them.... my biggest downside is that i don't think its as good looking at the Vette, and i will miss the large cam sound... Good probability that i just hold out and get a C7 Z06.

I've also considered looking at GT3's, as they're the only Porche i think i'd own (other than a Carerra GT of course) - but even as cool as they are, i still don't think I can get into the 911 styling... or almost any Porsche styling for that fact. Just like Clarkson says, they look like a VW Bug from the 70's.

I'm kinda digging the new Maserati GranTurismo's as well, but I don't think i'd want to drive that in the winter the way i would the GTR.....So i revert to my statement about the C7Z... gonna be wicked in every way.

    Bish-

Have you had the baby in the C5? It sounds like no big deal to the rear facing seat in there.

    Well first off, i have a C6 - haha

But regardless, no I have not have him in it, but not because I don't want to..... I wanted to take him to a couple car shows, and I just haven't been successful getting permission from the wife yet. She at least gave it good consideration, so I was accepting of that.

Good thing about the early C6's like mine is that not only are there anchors for car seats, but you can manually shut off the passenger airbag.

The C7Z while be badass will want mods and there will be a million of them around. I'm looking for a stay stock and be unique and wow factor.range that's why I'm trying to avoid the gt2 at sw because it made 1400hp spinning which high hp Porsches are not that fun. fast but not fun and expensive. The carrera gt is out of my price range by a couple hundred, found one for 360k but that was high miles.

I found a F430 that is a little out of my price range but think can be talked down into mine. And the Aston Martin is also intriguing.

I Wil still have my dd, tow rig and my race car so I rarely will ever drive it but it will be nice to have for cars and coffee and cruises and we'll I'm only gna be 45mins away from VIR haha

Really have to be careful with those manual airbags and the munchkins.

Only thing that makes me wish I got a later model c5. Can pull the fuse so my little one can go but that's kinda ghetto. That, and the column lock probs they had. Mine locked up the other night leaving a wedding and decided to unlock on it's own after about a half an hour. Strange too because usually it's the manual cars that have that issue.

for mine, theres a key slot in the glove box that you can use to turn it off.

Understood Dan...but we still would like to see them puppies!!!!

Chances are you think less of her looks because you can't stand her. Understandable, but it does bias your opinion.
