We are up in Honeyoe NY this week with our friends and their kids, staying at a big house that used to be a B&B. Great place. Beautiful country. Yesterday we went to Niagara Falls for the day and had a blast. Last night my older daughter and I were frog & toad hunting ( tons of them up here ) when we saw a shooting star. A minute later we saw another. So we headed back to the house and brought all the kids outside into the back yard where we sat/laid down and proceeded to see 50+ shooting stars. It was really amazing and the kids really enjoyed it. Everyone would get excited each time we saw one. Turns out that a comet passes Earth every August and this year the sky was clear and dark due to a new moon, so we had a clear view of the meteor shower. It was definitely a night I will remember forever and I think the kids will too. Here is a link to more info...

Not sure if anyone has seen the film of the huge ass explosion in China. That was about 3 kilometers from where I spent a large part of the last few years. The hotel I lived in was shook pretty good, but no one hurt that far out. Even more happy to be home now.

I just told Wifey, we can open a Redneck Kitty Kennel.

One time $5 charge. He can stay as long as he likes. No food, No water, No shelter and when you come pick him up he'll probably have a goatee and a barbed-wire tattoo around his paw.
