Traction/Stability control in both my Mustang and Ram is maddening. The Mustang luckily AED was able to completely defeat both in the tune, so I don't have to sit there and hold the button down for 5 minutes just to have it come back on three laps in. When it is actually on with the "street" tune loaded, it just completely shuts down the car if you get too judicious with the throttle. The Ram's isn't quite as bad, but you can't fully defeat it, so you basically you can't put the truck sideways in the snow ever. Hoping when I actually delete the truck they can disable it.

The BMW on the other hand, you can flatfoot the ****ing thing in the rain (rwd) on little 245 MPSSs and it accelerates, hard. Only time we have had an issue is pulling away on a steep hill in the snow, simply push the button off and get some necessary wheelspin.

The traction control is pretty invasive in the car I drove and it acts just like my ford transit. Wheelspin causes it to basically slam the throttle body shut. Terrible. There's no button in the transit either, so have to pull the TC fuse for the winter. The zl1 on the other hand had a 5 setting system, one being super nanny, and five basically being "well if shit happens don't blame us". The nice thing is that in the lower settings it just softened the power slightly and used individual brakes to keep the car going in a straight line even if you were spinning the tires. Ford needs a hard look at this style system because it makes the car so much more enjoyable to drive

They at least let you fully defeat it in the mustang, but I found that it you do some truly stupid shit it will turn itself back on. Never happened at the one autocross I did with the car stock but it happened repeatedly on the road course.
