Thanks guys... From what I know about it (which isn't much) is that Most times you get something similar to a "stone" that clogs and/or infects the organ. In serious cases this can lead to the organ rupturing. Some people try to treat it with meds, but the risk of it returning is a very high percentage leading to the surgery eventually anyways.

Had mine taken out a couple years ago. I've never been so happy to have surgery in my life. Not any fun though.

They took mine out when they were cutting everything else out when they found my cancer so I really didn't notice anything.

One guy in tx was getting 27mpg 2wd tx flatlands.

My appendix ruptured when I was in hospital.

So much pain stomach muscles went numb.

But I would rather have that than push a baby out of my coo chie.

Not on the scale of emergency appendix, but woke up Tuesday with the room spinning .... Called off work and went back to sleep... Got up even worse ... Went to the doctor and it turns out I have both ears infected ... Doctor kept asking me if it hurt, and how could it not hurt ... Loaded me up with a pile of meds, been going all week with vertigo every time I try to move ... freaking crazy, I hope it ends soon ....

i was was in the middle of this Monday night when I quit ....

Along those lines, have you ever read a book called "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell" by Tucker Max. It's a messed up book, but there's a chapter about his appendix rupturing and he puts it off until he's in so much pain, crawls into the ER, etc. It's a hilarious story.

I actually blacked out in the office when two of my employees showed up. Secretary and another guy got me in her car. Off to st Clair. Next thing I remember was Dr Budway coming in and pushing on my abdomen asking if this hurt. I'm sure that my reaction spoke louder than me saying yes. Off to OR I went. Week later, good to go for the most part. The hernia repair she did while in there took longer to heal up.
