I'm trying guys. I'm sorry. I can only do so much...

Took a ride to Ohiopyle today. An 8 year-old yelled "LIGHT 'EM UP" in the crosswalk.

Meh would rather be racing then working on my car. Engine bay is extremely empty right now. No wires, nothing.

I sent a donation to Special Olympics of Pennsylvania today.

So, since I donate I can continue to say (about meetings at work or anything else than anybody thinks they accomplish in this life), "It's just like the Special Olympics, even if you win, you're still retarded".

    I'm going to hell...

There's a show at Diehl in Robinson today. They usually have a decent turn out. Worth taking a ride out if you're looking to get out of the house a bit today.

Drove to Breezewood to meet my bro-in-law and drop off Lilly for a week-long stay with her Aunt and Uncle in DC. Hannah came along for the ride in the GT and Mom stayed home. On the way home she said she had a surprise and gave me directions to what turned out to be a PA fish hatchery about 10 miles away. We checked out the exhibits and all the massive tanks full of thousands and thousands of fish. It was pretty neat. Then we took the back way home on 56 to 22. It was a really nice time. The GT pulled a whopping 22.5 mpg on the trip.

Most of it was 80 mph on the turnpike and 55-ish on 56 & 22 coming home. A/C was on all day in the 93 degree heat. Around town ( basically 5 miles to work and back ) I see 15.3 so I feel your pain.

I made it out to MidOhio for the vintage trans am races this weekend....turns out it was also some Shelby reunion.....saw more hertz cars there and original competition 65's and original csx's than I will ever see in one place again.

Vintage trans am racing looks like a blast.

    I avg'd 26 mpg for the trip. #luvunohp

any estimated ETA? I hadn't seen any updates in your thread. I'm waiting to see it out ...

If it taking too long, maybe a rent a racer is due, truck, some car, whatever ... Every time I get burned out I get in something somewhat boring and it seems to energize me again. I took a "weekend" off from mine after Columbus because it was starting to feel like a job. Took Tracis convertible out Friday night and it got me going again ... Had the motor lifted up tonight (moved it forward), trans is out andits down to the flywheel right now ... Going through everything as it goes back together, but it's feeling good again. I might even test Saturday night, if it's not ready it should be to go to Mason Dixon Sunday ....

i absolutely love the trans am cars of the late 60's / early 70's, heck even into the 80's with the roush and other efforts.

we have the right cars now for a solid effort to revive that kind of racing with solid cars from the big 3. It would be great to see a 5-6 race series maybe 6 cars from each manufacturer but to a spec, then bring in drivers from other series like the former Iroc ... It really could be a winning conbo if the manufacturers buy in

I'd like to see an unlimited stock car series. Sprint Cup is like everybody eating the same bowl of plain, vanilla ice cream. You can put the same template on every car and all the PR 358ci engines are built by basically three builders. It really is the IROC series at this point. The same five rednecks win every week BECAUSE THEY ARE THE BEST DRIVERS. Is parity the word??? like the salary cap in sports... waters everything down.

I think for an unlimited series, if you're Chevy, fine stick with the PR motor, whatever displacement you want to use, whatever supercharger, etc., as long as it's somewhere in your production vehicles, you can use it... Ford could use their TT 3.6 from the new GT? Dodge could come back with some rendition of the Hemi. Toyota??? Is their truck V8 even PR or is it OHC? No limits, run what you brung, see who wins. If you're DFL, completely change your set-up and try again next week.
