Brent, I think what Adam was trying to say is that we had a problem with members posting in the classifieds with no intent to buy (basically small talk and stuff like that unrelated to the sale of the item). I'm pretty sure this all happened before you joined the site, so he was just looking out for ya so that you didn't get a temporary ban like the other guys did

So... I sent out my camera to Canon to get cleaned/refurbished so it should be essentially brand new for Ron when he gets it.

I'm really excited to get all my new camera crap I just ordered.

Canon 40D Body
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Lens
Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 Image Stabilized & Ultrasonic Motor Lens

I'm sure that is all jibberish to 95% of the people that just read that, but I'll try to explain it anyway:
The camera itself is basically a semi professional Canon model that I'm actually going to have to read the manual for this time to actually make use of it.
the lenses for SLR cameras have a bunch of numbers that probably don't make sense to you either.. the zoom length of the cameras are listed in mm, and the minimum aperture the lens can shoot at is listed as f/# (the lower the number the faster the lens, the faster the lens the less blurry moving things will be in low light. lower aperture numbers also give you a shorter distance of focus)

if you do know what those numbers mean, then you should also note that canon has a 1.6x multiplication factor on their lens zoom due to their sensors compared to a standard 35mm film camera. Nikon is 1:1 I believe?

So I left home it was 19 degrees with snow on the way. 8 hours and 460 miles later and I'm in Tennessee, no snow and 50 degrees at 6:30. For some reason, beer is expensive here. Should of packed better :D

Yeah, not exactly the best thing. A couple weeks ago I left Saturday at 9:00 AM to go to Europe, got home 9:00 PM the next Saturday.

If you get a chance, stop by the Jack Daniels distillery. It's a really cool tour to go on and at the end you can buy all kinds of cool JD stuff. If you're feelin it, you can buy a whole barrel! They'll tap 3 of your choice, let you try them, then bottle the barrel of your choice for you.
