Dr. Ellis in Connellsville. Right next door to Geibel High School. I was kicking the idea around for a while. I had a regular appointment for Friday and I was going to ask him if they would give my RX out to an online co. etc etc blah blah, then I walk in and they had a whole case of the Wiley X. I have a smaller face, so the "air rage" fit me perfect. I guess you get what you pay for because these seem to feel so much better than the $10 Turnpike glasses you can get at Sideling Hill.

Not only does the Hyundai Genesis Coupe look and handle waaaaay better than the Camaro LT, but according to car and driver:

Genesis - 306hp
Camaro - 304hp

Genesis - 14.2 @ 100mph
Camaro - 14.5 @ 99mph

IMO those are horrible times for both cars considering the power and price tag.

Oh, and the 2010 Camaro SS - BASE price of $31,000, runs 13.0's. wtf?

First off, i'm sure that realworld drivers will pull off much better times than Car and Driver - they always do.... but if you want a comparison....

Mach 1 mustang... 305/320 ... $29,000 ... and realworld drivers put in low 13's... like 13.2 or 13.3 - which means car and driver probably only got a 13.5 out of it at best...
Figure in inflation in this country and the recent drop in the value of the American dollar, and tell me where its all that bad??

For the record, the new genesis coupe is a decent looking car imho... i think i'd take the turbo 4 cylinder over the v6 though... i think the engine would have a lot more capability in stock form... but not sure if they'll put the turbo 4 in a trim that has good handling, etc

Nice, the top of the line Genesis can keep up with the cheapest possible camaro!

I believe that they will be releasing a track package for the 2.0T in the genesis. I also believe that it shares a lot of similarities to the evo x motor (4B11T I think?), but I think it doesn't have as many head studs or something. I'm grasping at straws there, but I know that there were some guys that were pretty upset about it. Hyundai said that it could handle 25psi from the factory and I want to say it could do so with the factory turbo, but that's just intranetz word of mouth so YMMV.

I know that some people have found that the V6 genesis can still make power gains up to 8k, so that's what the tuners seem to be doing with them last I checked.

It's a neat car, but in the end I think it's going to be saught after by a bunch of dorks/young dorks in training and generate some interesting insurance figures hahaha. It's no mustang, nor a camaro, nor a challenger... but it is a damn good effort to make a sporty FR sports coupe
