The owner of a company I worked for had one of these, a tad older(00-02ish?), and it was a only a two door hatch if i recall right..It could of possibly been a C230 Kompressor? To get to my point, it was a total piece of junk, only had a little over 60k miles and had all types of problems. Everytime I drove it, the check engine light was always on. I drove this car at least 10+12 different times. Ordered a few parts for it too, and they weren't cheap at all!

and i'd be scared if someones gaydar went off, lol, don't you have to be gay to have that?

Matt, yeah the 05 and before had a 1.8L supercharged 4, and they're kinda spotty, the 06/07 have a 2.5 liter v6 with 201 hp & a 7 speed automatic.

Went out looking at Benzos with my dad today, but I've had my eye on the C230 sports for a while now. When we were on our way back on the test drive I spotted one for sale. After we worked all the numbers and he eventually signed the papers, we went went back to the lot and I took it for a test drive. It's a very nice car, I enjoyed driving it. I had no idea it had 7 speeds. I kept counting the gears and wondered if I was crazy or the transmission was all ****ed up

Short story: Drove one, very nice, too much $$$, life goes on

Longer version: the car's really nice to drive & I like them a lot. They wouldn't move anywhere near a realistic price (at least IMO) unfortunately. As is, I can't swing the price, nor would I after seeing how much my dad's payments are going to be for a truck that costs twice as much with less money down. Maybe something will happen though, who knows. I'm really big into researching the shit out of stuff I'm going to buy, and I didn't have a chance to do that on the 06-07 models with the V6 and the 7 speed, so I didn't want to waste anyone's time working on the numbers.

Funny you say M3. I was looking at them & CTS-V's as well. You could hypothetically get an 01-02 M3 for 17-19k with 50k++ miles on it, or an 05 CTSV for under 22k with 30k miles on it. The M3 is doable, but they have major subframe issues (read: FUBAR'ed if not caught before the problem starts), and I'd really worry about repair bills on that type of a machine. CTSV has differential and transmission problems. Both are too much like the cobra, and I really want to keep it. Good thing I keep looking at shit I can't afford. I have a pretty good talent for that type of thing I think hahahaha

If you have something you want to say to me I have no problem talking to you privately, I'm a pretty open guy I don't think anybody that actually knows me or has talked to me for any amount of time will say anything otherwise. I got a pretty good deal up through high school, I'm never going to deny that. I'm well aware that I've started out with a head start in the right direction, but I also know where I'm going in life. If you're looking at the cars I'm posting and judging me based off that, then you're not the guy I thought you were. I like the 230 sport. I've always been a fan of 4 doors.

I was looking at E46 M3's for a while too. Only problem with those are that you have to get an early model year with the crank problems or one that is higher mileage to get a decent price on them. 70K E46's will still go for 22K+.

I absolutly love the Laguna Seca Blue with Coral Red interior E46's though. Probably one of my favorite cars.

I also then started looking at LS6 (brain fart) CTS-V's. You can get them for about the same price but with less miles on them. They are nice cars too for the money if you don't mind living with terrible wheel hop. I know I'd live with it!

Bo, have you considered an 05, to 08, Legacy GT? They are AWD and have a 2.5 turbo and they hall ass. (0 to 60, in 5.8 seconds.) You can get them in a stick or a 5 speed auto. My wife and i had an 05 limited and loved it. We bought it in 06 relativley cheep and had it for a year and a half and had know problems with it at all. I believe you can get an 06, to 08, for high teens to low 20s. I know its not a Benz, or Beemer, or an Audi, lol (we have an 07, A4 now and love it).....Just a suggestion buddy.
