Cleaned out the garage last week so now the Mustangs are in storage and the F150, now with a spot indoors, is washed and waxed and ready for winter. Finish First is amazing stuff!!! REALLY easy to apply ( no elbow grease - just wipe it on with a back-and-forth motion ), let it sit on the car ( I let it sit overnight in the garage ), and absolutely no residue to clog up your buffing towel when you remove the polish. The truck looks fantastic, considering the paint is 17 years old. 94Cobra told me about it ( the black paint on his '94 Cobra is amazing ), now I'm a believer and so are a few of my buddies. I've probably done 7 cars with the one can I have, and still have some left.

    http://www.finishfirstpolish.com/orderpage.html

F150 tune-up is done. Plug install did suck - plug wires were a little easier - just have to get comfortable lying on top of the motor while working...yeah...right...

Cap and rotor were in bad shape - so new pieces are in there now. Took it for a ride tonight and it ran much smoother with better throttle response. Oil and filter changed. Tomorrow a bottle of Lucas injector cleaner goes in before both tanks get filled up. Hopefully mileage will improve from the 12 mpg ( mixed city / highway ) I've been getting on my 18 mile round-trip commute ( home to daycare to work to daycare to home ). I'll probably replace the serpentine belt tomorrow and hopefully that'll be it for the winter.

While typing this I saw Motorweek on TV - wow the 2011 SuperDuty is impressive - 400hp and 800 lb/ft of torque from the turbo diesel...jeez...

You use a buffer with that or just wipe off with a towel? Might have to add that to the Christmas list.

They might total my Stang, I will hear hopefully within the next day or so.

But, my rental car is a 09 Ford Focus. I actully kind of like it, nice car better than my 95. If they do total it I hope they give me a decent price to go get something elso quickly.

But I did like the car for what it was, even driving it with the pedal to the floor all the time (very slow), it got 30mpg.

wipe on...let it sit ( I wait overnight )...wipe it off...done

no buffer - no sweat - no cramping hand - this stuff is awesome

Before you use it, just be sure your paint is relatively clean. On my wife's explorer ( sits outside ) I used a buffer and some 3M polishing compound to get the nasty stuff out of the paint. Then I washed it - dried it, and applied the Finish First. For a 10 year old truck that sits outside almost all the time, it really looks nice!

I think Mascari Auto Body in the North Hills sells Finish First - but they're the only place around here from what I've heard. You can buy it online with the link I included earlier - my buddies got theirs in less than 4 days.

Thats awesome. The exterior is plan and dull but I like the interior. I think if it was a manual with more power it would be a really fun car to drive.

I'm worried if they total my Stang they are gonna give me nothing for it and I am going to be screwed. I am praying for 3-5 grand.

Yeah unfortunately SN-95s hold no value anymore, that's why I haven't even looked into selling my car, I like it too much to let it sell for nothing.

If they total it you can probably buy it back REALLY cheap. How bad is it?

I bought my SHO back for $200 a few years ago. Since then my buddy has raced it in 3 one-hundred lap enduro races... If you don't or can't fix the car, you can probably part it out and make some money. Just a thought...

Ive been looking on Autotrader almost everyday, cant seem to find what I want. Its hard because I dont know how much I will get if its totaled, I figured 5k range so Ive been looking there. Cant seem to find a nice GT manual around or under 5k in a decent color, silver, red or black.

Id like to go dealer for it because I dont trust privite sellers for the most part. But well see what happens i guess.

Ive been thinking about that as well, buying it back. Seems the whole prossess has been a big deal and I know if I try to buy it back they are going to give me a hard time. The damage is in the rear. Gonna need a new deck lid, spoiler, bumper cover, licence plate mold, tail lights. How should I go about buying it back for such a low price?

They are taking the bumper cover off to see if there is damage behind it so that what im waiting on to hear.

How long will the other guys insurace pay for me to have a retal car if they total my car? I would need atleast a week, week and a half to find something.

The gears in my head are turning though if I can get a new edge for cheap. Id like to go 03-04 Cobra front bumper, nice dual exsaust set up, lint tint and some decent wheels and tires. Ive always had to settle when it came to cars with money being in my way. Id really like to go out and shop around for what I want for once. But wishful thinking I guess.

    See what happens.

Really, if anything I wouldn't trust either equally. If not, more a used car dealership. With a private person, they are usually just trying to make some money or get rid of an old car. Used car salesmen on the other hand... trying to make a living.
