Those cars seem to handle miles well. Sounds like a good deal if it's nice and clean. Post some pics when you get it.

I will, I can wait. The Interior is literally perfect, I was taken back. The guy told me it was adult owned and it really shows. The exterior is good, going to need alot of TLC. And it has on the hood a chip, looks like a rock got it. I want to invest in some good polishing compounds and wax for this car, I have a good buffer.

Was the Mach sound system stock on these cars or did the PO add it?

Also it has the traction control button, when would I use this?

My buddies 00 gt had a mach sound system so i'm assuming they did. One thing I do know for a fact is you'll never win a race with the traction control on...

Save that for the winter coming up, that is if you're even going to drive it then.

The traction control is defaulted to "ON" every time you turn your car off/on. You have to push the button to turn it "OFF", then you'll get a little green squigly symbol in your dash. It will be your new routine: get in car, push clutch in, check for neutral, turn key, push T/C button, drive.

nice buy! get those pics up!

Thanks, is the traction control any good? I assume it would be alright in rain and snow.

Looks like I will have the car by Friday of next week. Ill post up some pics and a video.

you will have better luck with a GT in the snow compared to v6. also run smaller tire in the winter that way there is more weight per square inch = better snow traction

Just get a set of blizzaks for the rear - narrower than stock - on skinnier rims. Just make sure the rims will clear your rear discs. There are always a bunch of them on craigslist.

Put about 200lbs of sand in the back/trunk too. That will give you more weight.

This is what I do with studded rear tires. I can pretty much go anywhere.

Somebody ran into my damn truck last night while it was parked on a one-way street. They were obviously going the wrong way. Smashed my mirror all up against the passenger side window and scraped the rear quarter-panel probably just enough to need re-painted. A very minor amount of metal bent right around the wheel well. WTF is wrong with people? Drunk, going the wrong way, smashed another car, I'm sure their car/truck got smashed, too. Keep going.

I saw the bits and pieces laying on the road when I got about 20 feet away. I wasn't even upset. I just started laughing. Yeah, I had a few drinks in me, too, but what do you really do? Calling the police is useless. Random, DUI, hit-and-run crash victim. hahahaaha

Frankly, if I was that guy, I would've done the same thing. LOL! I got a $500 deductible. I probably won't even turn it in if it's under a grand. Freaking thing only got 3,500 miles on it. This blows !!!

I ran 3 winters in my old 01 gt. 4 15' V6 wheels with some glacier grip 2's and 200lbs of sand in the trunk and I had no trouble getting around.
