Southern suburb of Shanghai ... As far as you can see, ~50 unit apaertment buildings ... The picture likely doesnt do it justice, but a sea of the same damn buildings as far as you can see.
Alright, time to vent. So one of the things that keep me sane while traveling is some form of human contact with home via the internet (the other being beer, but don't mix internet and beer) ... one of those ways its stay in touch is Facebook. I used to not think much of it, but lately it's been an easy way to get a taste of what everyone has going on ... of course it's blocked here in China, but I've been able to get there using a VPN connection .... so I have shifted down to Shanghai for a few days and here they even managed to block it via my VPN ??? Really getting old.
So pile this on.... two hour cab ride today from the airport. They sent a nice car for me (Santana 3000)
But the driver was a piece of work.150 kph, right onto everyone's ass, then brake, then gas, then brake ....frigging guy knows two throttle positions, off, on.
So that's all done, now this new fangled hotel wants to be "green" and installed motion sensors in the bathroom for both the lights and the Damn fan. So now if your on the crapper and don't move every two Damn minutes, the lights go out and the fan stops. Of course the thing is you got to go there every couple.minutes when you finish to keep the fan running or else live with that the rest of the night.
Yeah, beer and internet. Having a TsingTao brown while typing this, things already look better.
Thats insane. Lol at Bob's description of his day.
LOL Bob - you might need to get yourself a laxative to get out of the crapper more quickly...

^^^ x2, or at least give yourself a courtesy flush so you dont have to feel the pain later
Well ... That actually was my evening ... The day included going through security at a small Chinese airport, a flight on a discount chinese airline, and a mistake regarding my visa status upon getting the airport here ... all of those deserved their own rant but I stuck with the easy ones ;)
No joy on the courtesy flush, it's a flapper paddle built into the wall behind you that you need to push with both hands or else it doesnt work, c'mon buddy, give me more credit than that ;) As far as laxitive, well that wouldlikely result in a sonic boom from it coming so freaking fast ... The last solid one you have here is the one you bring with you, after that, it's just purging for some time, unfortunately, it takes some time :D
We will see if I can get the picture uploaded later, but I've hit the motherload of cheap ass aftermarket parts ... Saw the APC factory on my way in, and am looking out the window at Exedy right now ... get your racing clutch here, #1 quality ...
Edit for picture ....

So, we're getting a new deck built on our house. When the deck-building dude was here before, he was driving a pick-up truck and he said he liked my Silverado. I said I traded a Mustang for it and even after a summer in the truck, I still don't regret it. So, then he proceeds to tell me he has a 2008 Mustang GT and everybody needs a toy. blah blah blah. I showed him my quad and bike and said, "I got toys, keep that Mustang away from here!" You can guess what he brought tonight when he came to get the contract signed. Bragging all about how nice it was today... yadda yadda yadda. The car is bone stock and he just doesn't seem like the "modding" type. So, I turned it around on him. I walked out when he left and I gave him about 150 websites where he can buy everything and anything from wheels, tires, headers, x-pipes, h-pipes, cat-back exhausts, gears, cams, superchargers, turbos, nitrous oxide, driveshafts, torque converters, hand-held tuners, chin farings, GT500 wings, etc... I even made up some more names for stuff that he didn't know about. Hopefully, all of his profit from my deck ends up catching his credit card on fire ordering a boatload of parts online. bawawahhahahahaha
