Yep for sure. I used to be the same way as a lot of these guys, but I've changed in the past few years, mainly after Hurricane Katrina and I realized how little support we get in our own country for own people vs. support we send overseas.
I went to Biloxi, MS in Oct. 2009 for Habitat for Humanity to build houses and there were still remnants of Katrina in a boarded up apartment tower 2 blocks from the casinos. I met families whose homes these were going to be. Black, Hispanic, White families. The gratitude they showed was no different from family to family. I try hard to realize and appreciate the things I have and how very easily it can all be taken away. Easy come, easy go.

Lol, here I thought a Mustang site would be a good place to bitch about not getting parts for my car.
I see those things different. I have had many offers for jobs in different parts of the country, and parts of the world. One of my criteria when considering them is if my ass was going to get flattened by a tornado, hurricane, earthquake, flood, or burned down by wild fires. I choose to live where I do because beside snow to my balls sometimes, those other risks are low. It's a fundamental principal that we can choose where we live.
I have seen devastation in the world, I've worked with people that live on $100.00 a month and had everything washed to sea by tsunami, seen the dirt poverty at the ends of the world and worked in it, and have learned that stuff happens to people and you should count your own blessings and go on with your life. So excuse me if I don't put my life and its petty problems aside because people that choose to live in an area referred to as tornado alley got their lives upset by a tornado, or that someone that lives on a fault got their house flattened, other that lives in a postal area below sea level got flooded when a hurricane hits. I get it, but we all draw different lines.
So what are you all DOING about this?
Understandable argument. However, I was just expanding on the perspective thing, not people being responsible for their decision to live in a place that has inherent risk of natural disaster. That doesn't mean they deserve to lose everything.
