Today I installed new brake hoses on the front of the F150 and bent some pre-flared hard lines. The clips that hold the hoses to the frame were completely rusted / disintegrated. The corrosion was about all that was holding them in place. The job went pretty well. No leaks and everything is working fine.

What's the deal with the 2-piece lug nuts on these trucks? The outer chrome cap / shell came off of one, so I ran down to the Ford dealer and picked up 3 new ones...for $5 each. WTF is up with that?!?! $5 for a lug nut??

While working on the brake lines I noticed how hideous the front shocks look. I think they will be the next thing to replace.

What kind of prep is required with Plastidip on paint that won't harm the paint if I want to take it off. I want to black out around the license plate and lower valance. I'm guessing prep wipe would take off any wax and be good to paint?

Yea that should be fine. Although I don't know that you even have to do that. I just plasti dipped my billit grill on my truck and tried some on the paint. It seemed to hold up great. It will rub/peel off if you try to get it off though. You cant really hurt anything trying because of that.

    Carlisle

Is it not so awesome how we all have to read post about how many days until Carlisle, who is going, what time people will scratch their ass driving down the turnpike which day and what mile marker and then when everyone goes, no one bothers to post up any threads with cool pictures of cars, drunken adventures, or even some girls nice ass after actually getting there. I mean, WTF???????

You would think that Mr. Kennedy, silvernotch, would at least put up a picture of the beer pyramid that I'm sure he contributed to building.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump
