watches are really a man's version of diamonds... women like diamonds, love to spend lots of money on them, show them off, etc etc... Watches are kinda the same thing to men....

I have a couple of nice watches, but nothing ridiculous... I would LOVE a breitling, but i'm not willing to spend $4K on a watch.... i have a nice Citizen and a nice Bulova... not cheap watches, but not insane expensive (Breitling, Rolex, etc)... the Bulova is the one i wear on a daily basis, and honestly, i get more compliments on it than you can imagine.... I don't get in an elevator and look at someones shoes or watch, but apparently there are a lot of people that do, b/c mine gets noticed a lot... lol everyone finds it really cool that you can see the whole movement inside the watch...

I don't have any pickles in the house, so last night I made it with Ham (obviously --- and I don't have a grinder, so I stand there and cube it up with a knife. wtf?), minced black olives and onion, mayo (the real sh!t, no miracle whip), horseradish sauce, brown mustard. salt/pepper.

tonight, I sauteed some onions and celery with garlic and used the same mixture as above. both are pretty good, but they're missing some wang. needs more flavor.

Can anyone tell me what the reason is for wearing a $3,000 watch vs. a $200 watch?

Not being a dick either, just curious. I like nice looking watches don't get me wrong, but I've never taken the time to look at someone's wrist and decide if I liked the watch based on what kind it was or the price.

Little late but .... but for some it's an investment. For example I have a 2001 Rolex Submariner that I can sell used for more that what it's original MSRP was. When buying watches I try not to buy your average $200 quartz watch unless I really like it and know that it will someday end up in the garbage.

Makes sense I suppose, just always been curious about that. Someday I would like to get a nicer watch like a Tag or a Breitling, but for now I just need one that looks good and I won't be pissed when I bang it off something and scratch it.
