Did a little research on flying and records show in 2006 that 760 million people flew with 0 fatalities. Jets can suposedly fly with one engine, and they also say that a plane can actually fly for about 150 miles with no power from the engines just coasting. That made me feel a little bit better.
I flew somewhere around 50,000 miles last year. I wouldn't hesitate to fly and feel it's the safest form of travel. At least there aren't 1,000 other maniacs in planes going past you at the same rate of travel like on a highway!

Haha work was hectic yesterday so I was passed out early. I think I was asleep at midnight haha. I was trying to update my resume, so I didn't get online because it would have side tracked me lol.

Do you have a girlfriend dude? Your bills for the restaurant is what I pay when I take my girlfriend out to dinner haha.

Have you ever flown in storms like whats coming today/tonight? Just wondering how much it takes to have a delay or other issues because of the weather.

I have flown through the tail end of snow storms similar to what we may be getting tonight, the biggest delays I have had were either clearing of the runways, delays on incoming flights, and problems with the flight crew (subcontracted out).

I would estimate that probably around 25% of my flights get impacted in one way or another. You have a much lower chance with direct flights, but if you are connecting thats when problems arise. Getting out of Pittsburgh isn't bad as long as you beat the weather, but the main connecting hubs are the ones you will need to keep an eye out for (Atlanta, Detroit, Philadelphia, etc...)

Where are you going to and what's your flight path look like?

Can I just say I've never actually flown in an airplane. I don't know if its because I was always afraid of it crashing or what.. It's funny because I always said i'd rather fly in a helicopter than an airplane because i felt "safer" even though they aren't LOL! So a few years back my dad always wanted to do one of the helicopter rides, and when we were in Myrtle we went on one.. He was like "you sure your gonna be okay with this" and I was like heck yah.. It was the most awesome experience, being able to look down and check things out.. I've been parasailing, that doesn't bother me.. Its not the heights thing so I dunno why I worried about it. I'm guessing by now I should be over that fear since I did the helicopter ride and stuff.. was definitely cool lol..

I think the snow is supposed to clear by Wednesday, if we even get any (you know weathermen...) so I think you should be fine.

I wonder which one is more safe. My friend is in the airforce and claims if the power shuts down the blades on a chopper will spin long enough to safely land. I know theres a couple people on here who deal with aircraft im sure they could let us in on some info.

I have flown a lot and after a while you just get used to it...but sure would rather die in a plane crash than something possibly more painful!!

haha, i ate out last night, but had a 6 inch subway and milkshake at coldstone...think it cost me 9 bucks? i gave up drinking though, too much money and stupid decisions, plus i wanna drive trucks so cant risk a DUI.

Yeah they keep changing it. I see they are calling for 2-4 inches from now until noon tomorrow lol. What did they start off originally saying last week like 20 inches or something.. I heard some stupid number rambled off, can't remember what thought

Yeah I'd be curious to know! I always thought the helicopter was more safe. Regardless, I need to suck it up and get on an airplane haha

Tell me about it.. I'm a sucker for food, period haha.. What kinda beer do you like? I honestly drink just about anything haha.. I go through moods.. Sometimes all I want is nice cold beers, others I'm all over some Jim Beam and Coke.. Then other times I'll be making these Coconut Rum, Peach Schnapps and Pineapple Juice drinks.. Tastes like Pineapple juice but is all alcohol.. Great drink for the beach!

Haha yeah. I don't get very carried.away anymore. I have to be careful so I don't make a stupid mistake like a dui. That can result in a loss of my license in the medical field then I have no job lol. I like Blue Moon, Budweiser, Miller, etc. Shock Top is good. Guinness and blue moon together for a dark side of the moon is awesome!
