Roads are seriously almost impassible. I got to a 24 hour gym, left at midnight when it just started to stick. Took me two hours to get home. Went up the hill by sheetz sideways with an 18 wheeler comin up on me hard. Abandoned the truck and walked the rest of the way home. Truck is in a safe spot, my dad is good friends with the owner. And on top of everything else I could get it into 4wheel drive. What a night!

Not sure about Rangers - is it a push button 4x4 or do you have a lever on the floor to engage 4x4? If it is a lever I bet it seized up like mine did in my F150. I had to remove the transfer case linkage and the lever mechanism and then clean and lube the hell out of the linkage. I had tons of corrosion in there due to dissimilar metal oxidation. Now I can pull it into 4x4 with one finger.

It's the push button style 4 wheel drive.

We used to have a 1993 Explorer with the push button 4x4. One season it wouldn't work. Took it to the mechanic and he tested the switch - was good - so he banged on the drive motor and it freed things up. If the 4x4 isn't used often enough the mechanism can seize up. Last winter was so mild that I didn't use 4x4 in my F150 - and that is why it seized up on me this year - lack of use. Good luck getting her home and working.

What year is your F150. I've been thinking about getting one myself soon. Either a newer F150 or a brand new Sierra

Mine is a '94 - hasn't even turned 78k miles yet. She's slow and old, but at least she's thirsty!!!

It makes a great winter / utility vehicle as long as you don't have to put many miles on it. I love it, but the gas mileage will KILL YOU. I'm getting around 10-11mpg around town - and that's only with the 5.0 and an auto - with me driving it like a grandpa would. You can find a relatively clean one with good miles in the $4k range. If you take care of it you'll get all your money out of it years down the road, as they're at the bottom of their value curve. However, expect to do some relatively extensive maintenance from time to time. In the past 3 years or so I've replaced rear leafs in the springs, new u-joints, water pump, tune up ( changing plugs in these things is ridiculous as you have to just about lay on top of the motor to do it ), front gas tank replacement, 4x4 linkage seized up and needed disassembled cleaned and lubed, new muffler, etc...

The truck has a little bit of rust here and there. I hope to get it taken care of in the next year or so. Still, she looks better than most girls her age. I have to admit...she really sounds nice with the shiny new Borla muffler on there!! Glad I had 2 of them lying around the garage...so now I have a spare if I need it. If I get crazy enough I might put the Borlas on my '66 and put the Flowmasters from the '66 on the truck.

At some point my '14 ( when I finally get it home ) will have Borlas on it. Just need to find the right deal.

Yeah the only reason I want the Truck is mainly for when I move so that I have a truck available. That way I don't have to borrow my Dad's truck if I need to pick up a new Fridge or the Dishwasher goes out, etc. If I need to haul something, I have it there. I have an 06 Fusion now and I love it. It gets decent gas mileage (great if you want to compare it to your truck lol). If I only had a 10 mile round trip for work everyday, then I wouldn't hesitate on buying one right now! But my trip right now is 75 miles round trip, and well, that sucks on gas when they are thirsty!

Do you have any ETA when your gonna bring home the '14?

I think I'm going to get rid of my ranger by the end of summer. Sick of it. I want an 02 or up Trail Blazer. Was looking on CL today. I think I could get one for a good price. I want something nicer for a daily driver.

Those things suck on gas, the V6's especially. The SS got better mileage than the V6 I drove. I hated it.

Not sure how everyone else made out but it snowed steady here late into Monday evening. Daughter measured just over 8" on the ground.

Glad I got out of there when I did! I am currently in Wisconsin where there's just some leftover snow in piles where it was plowed.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump
