    Never saw that show but I just finished watching one of the Great Cars documentaries and also a Chop Cut Rebuild on a '67 Mustang I got on Netflix the other day. Was awesome.

    How does emissions exsempt work?

    last year I had a regular inspection. Since then I put way less than 5k miles on it. Now for this years inspection I can do the emissions exsempt? Does this mean I can do what ever I want to the exhaust for a year?

    Pretty much. You just tell them you want it exempt because you put less than 5k on it. That's how I did the stang this year because I was throwing codes lol.

    Mine is exempt, never even looked under the car. What I don't know is if they do a visual and see its missing cats or whatever if they can fail the inspection part.

    The shop looks at the odometer reading on the back of your current sticker and if you put less than 5k miles on it since then you have the privilege of paying $15 for an EXEMPT emissions sticker.
