If you drive less than 5k miles since the previous inspection then you pay another $15 for the EXEMPT sticker. Not completely sure if they do a visual check for the cat or not. Might depend on where you go.

I want to say they don't do a visual check.

If during the regular inspection they notice there isn't a cat on the car you could be hosed.

Maybe it's just me but does it seem like the chop cut rebuild host seems like he's mainly getting in the way? Seems like most of the fabricators kinda get annoyed with him.

I haven't watched the show a lot but I do agree with you. I kind of got that vibe as well.

last year I had a regular inspection. Since then I put way less than 5k miles on it. Now for this years inspection I can do the emissions exsempt? Does this mean I can do what ever I want to the exhaust for a year?
I don't understand what the big deal is about this. Grab an off road h or x pipe, change it out, plug in some mil eliminators and if you get questioned, hey it was on the car when I bought it. Which probably isn't going to happen. It's not like it's never been done before.

Oh yeah, if you don't have that thing on they call the police at the inspection station.

I'm pissed, we just had a storm with hail and all and my truck (F-150) and my Legacy GT (in my avatar) got damaged. F-ing mother nature.

Awesome time at PittRace today for the One Lap of America. Weather was actually really nice for racing.

The guy driving the Boss 302 was a younger guy with a prosthetic lower leg. And he was leading his group. Very cool.
