Exactly... This why I"ll probably never do another all out/frame off build. I'd rather have someone else take the financial hit. The only car I ever lost money on was my only frame off build. Anymore, I am very cautious of what/how I spend money on my cars. If I don't think I can atleast break even if/when I'm ready to sell I won't buy it.
I need to find a new gym to go to. I'm looking for the old school warehouse style gym. No ac no b.s. No chain gyms like LA ect. Looking for a gym like MetroFlex in long Beach CA, that kind of place and atmosphere. Google brought up built in Bloomfield gym.
Any one have any suggestions in the Pittsburgh area?

Pretty sure this will be my next sports car purchase - in about 16-18 months..... GM seems like they're going to produce plenty of them, so a 1 year old car with about 5-12K miles on it is what i'll be looking for - with high production numbers, i'm hoping that depreciation will hit pretty hard on those that HAD to have the first one on the streets......
Really impressive car, especially considering with the regular C7 Stingray people were able to get CONSIDERABLY faster times out of their C7's bone stock than what GM stated. With just drag radials, this car is going to be absurd - can't wait to also see how much power is left in the tune..... best of all, it runs these numbers, and its not even a car built for straight-line racing....

New Corvette? Meh.
It's awesome. The acceleration sounds incredible. But frankly speed has become a cheap commodity.
My wife's station wagon hits 60 in the mid 5s. It wasn't many years ago that you couldn't name a dozen cars at any price that could do that.
Speed is fun, but I'm generally not driving on the road for speed, I'm driving for fun.
Lots of other factors go into fun... Paxton's '66 Coupe will have plenty of speed... but the character of the car is what makes it so fun.
If I were racing to feed my family, I'd want a C7 to collect paychecks. But aside from being about the fastest, it just doesn't strike me as fun.
That being said, I'll still feel a little inferior in my fun old 5.0 if a new C7 tries to bully me at a redlight!
Its a sweet ride for sure..... wish it was driven more, as I only drive it 7 miles to the bus stop and back. occasionally we swap the baby seat over from the caddy to the Jag, but not too often.... same with the vette now - only gets driven to the golf course, as I haven't convinced my wife to let me put the baby seat in it - lol

That's right! I've driven paddle-shift Ferraris... have you tried an ST?
I have a friend with several Ford GT40's and a couple of Cobras. Note I didn't say Ford GT's. Yes, his Corbras are aluminum. Oh, and his daily driver is a Focus ST.
I'm not saying you have to like it, but I know what I like and FWIW I'm not alone in liking them.
I prefer the Ford festiva myself.
Having fun in a car is so subjective. I'm not sure I can get the Fiesta over a 458 thing, but there is something about being able to push a car on the street without being at 140mph, and the Fiesta definitely fits the bill. I have way more fun driving my '14 GT on the factory garbage rubber than I did when I had my C5Z, so I get it a bit. I still think my SRT4 was one of the most fun cars I have ever driven on the street, and the car was god awful to autocross.
I also autocrossed a Lotus Elise last weekend on huge Hoosiers and I hated it (although I think it would be fun on the street) so maybe I am crazy too.

I do burn out in my tahoe after work in the parking lot every night for no reason and no one is around . That does it for me . Lol
It's really hard to getmy Navigator to do burn outs on the factory 20"s.
it will light up the 18" Blizzaks in the winter, but I gotta admit that's more stupid than fun.
