Speaking of jobs, as I told you guys I've been inactive and pretty much so silent due to a lot going on, especially with the job search. I'm on my sixth, and final interviews with Stryker, Monday and I have an interview with UPMC East for a Systems Analyst job on Tuesday @ 9:45am. I'm hoping to obtain a job here at some point. I interviewed last week with AHN/Highmark for their new Urgent Care as a Clinical Supervisor and then I was in Weirton for an Radiology Information Systems job, so we'll see what happens. Hopefully I can get back to the grind soon, it's been far too long :\

Six interviews is crazy. I had one a few weeks ago, about 5 hours long. That was enough for me!

Thanks guys, yeah they hold a pretty rigorous interview process. They were rated the 9th hardest company in the United States to interview for. Google is ranked 8th lol. Venom, 5 hours? I can't even imagine. I think all of my interviews have added up to close 5 1/2 - 6 hours, but again, after 6 that is expected. But one interview, 5 hours. I would have fallen asleep haha. My interview went well today, I was at UPMC Mercy today to meet with them, as they are the client and ultimately where I would be working from. Interview went extremely well, was probably one of my better interviews to be honest. I had a pretty positive meeting with them, and they commented that I was extremely well prepared, interviewed well, and was overall impressed by me. Even mentioned my cover letter was phenomenal, and one of the answers to my questions they said they wanted to steal because they wanted to use it for future references when interviewing candidates lol. So overall, I think it was positive. Tomorrow is UPMC Monroeville, for this RIS/PACS IT Analyst position, we'll see where it goes from here. Thanks for wishing me luck though. I'll eventually get hired on somewhere lol.

It takes 3 to 4 interviews just to reach the "Gallup" Interview, which is the behaviorally based interview process. Those are rigorous lol. They have a very different approach to hiring. Look up Stryker sometime and their interview process. It's nuts lol

In my profession, its the norm to have a 7-8 hour interview. You'll go in at 8am, interview with a couple different people until lunch, go on a lunch "break", which is really just a less formal interview, and then back to official interviewing until 4 or 4:30.......

and you'll have most likely had one or two 1-hour phone interviews before ever getting invited in for an on-site visit......

our HR dept used to question us on it until they found out it was the industry standard.... it's really not all that hard though.... if you can make it through a 1 hour interview, you can make it through 8 consecutive ones - you just can't be shy about repeating yourself

Haha I'm just busting your balls about so many interviews... best of luck!

I had 3 interviews for my most recent job, so about 3 hrs total. If you're confident and a good fit, it should be a piece of cake.

Haha thanks Dan. The Gallup Interview was the weirdest thing I've ever done, not sure if you've done one of those or not before. They asked me "Do you like to laugh? Do you laugh a lot?" lol.. Those were two of the bizarre questions.

But anyways, I managed to make it through all the interviews, and I received my offer from them today and accepted the position, so I want to thank everyone for wishing me luck. I'm pretty excited!

Haha thanks guys. Yeah, definitely need some upgrades for the stang, can't wait to get started on that too. And I'll still have the time to work on it and do things, so that's even better!

Thanks guys. Yeah the car will actually make it out on the road this upcoming year rather than spending a lot of time sitting or not attending shows. Was just a down and depressing year for me and I didn't really want to do anything. I have a few things on the list already for over the winter mods, I'll work on them slowly once I get everything back in check. I have to get rid of some of these bills for the wedding yet, but that won't take too long!
