Put 8 new Motorcraft ignition coils in the F250 tonight. It can actually go up a hill now. #7 was really bad and I think at least 2 others were on their way. $360 gone. Thanks Ford.

As long as it wasn't a clean diesel that VW has to offer.

Well...I was trolling around in searchtempest tonight...

I just couldn't justify the extra cost - and buying a truck with twice as many miles to get a diesel for my 6-mile commute. If I can keep this tiny gas motor running well it will suffice for what I need. But if I keep having problems with it...I will probably find a stock and loved 7.3 crew cab.

Took it for a quick test run tonight. No bog or miss under light acceleration. Good zip when I hammered it on the highway and ran up to 80mph. Still not as good as I think it should run, but hopefully after some more miles and some fuel system cleaner it will be ok. Actually looking forward to the drive to work tomorrow.

Crazy. What a jump from the 275whp that a Mach 1 would make 12 years ago. The torque is even impressive.

467 rwhp NA from a 5.2. For 50k. Unreal. Can't wait to see what these do with bolt ons. Interesting that it peaked at 7200 though. Held power to 8250 but thought it would peak above 7500.

Shit. Had a goat die this AM. She was "off" yesterday. Took her to the vet and she died today. Pregnancy toxemia. Borrowed the neighbors backhoe to dig a hole. Kids don't know yet. This is going to suck.
