Wow, thats cooking. Buddy of mine had a low optioned regal. Come to think of it, his 12.10 run was with some sort of a mix on fuel. Always wanted one but never wanted to be stuck using high octane to go fast.
Just a random thought. Pulling up next to a turbo buick and running it in 1986 would have been crazy. Funny to think a high 13 - low 14 second car was a ripper at one time when family cars are there easily now.
With a little work and a good set up, a GN will flat out get it.
Then you go all out with the stage 2 block, 1000+hp is not hard to eclipse. There are guys with a stage 2 well over 1k hp.

Right before drag week, she had hers on the dyno. Blew it up. I think the crank failed, I can't remember. That was right after she was up at my other buddies using his race car scales in Sarver. He yanked his out and put it in her car so she could run. They pulled an all nighter on it too. She made drag week with some really good runs. I can't remember exactly but I think she was in the 9's.
