Traded our 2013 escape in for a 2012 Edge Sport today. It's loaded with 18k miles on it. Our Escape had 58k on it. Didn't wanna go older but it's really clean. Plus we lowered our payment. uploadfromtaptalk1459626221281.jpg
Nice ride Terry!
FML - I was up painting closets until midnight last night. Woke up today and cut the grass for the first time this year. Then headed to pick up 41 boxes of hardwood flooring and lug them into my house. As soon as I finished my neighbor, a very nice widow with a handicapped son, flagged me down to help her with a clogged toilet. That sums it up for today - my ass feels thoroughly kicked. Time for a Twisted Tea and a shower before I head to my nephew's birthday party. Cheers!

So I test drove a 2015 Saleen yellow label supercharged Mustang yesterday. Nice car, but left feeling disappointed. These new cars are so "refined" I guess that it really mutes the overall experience of a musclecar. Soft edges might be another way to describe it. Powerful but doesn't feel at all like the 715 HP it's advertised to have. This feeling started with my 08 Shelby after coming from a terminator and seems to continue as cars get newer. The only real bitch was the traction control. It flat out sucks compared to my last modern musclecar (ZL1). ZL1 would let the power happen, control wheelspin without stopping it, and keep the car going in a straight line unless you were a complete jackass, this saleen just cut the motor like you turned the ignition off and herky jerky apply it until you gave up and short shifted. Thats crap. Other than that I'd have to say that the saleen has to be the best bargain for dollar out there right now. This one had upgraded wheels, optional 15" brakes, and some other gingerbread for 60k. More horespower and features than cars costing MuCH more than that. Commercial over, we now return you to your normally scheduled program
That does seem like a good deal for $60K compared to other new car offerings and being a Saleen it should hold value well. I'm sure with just a pulley swap and a tune you could get rid of some of that "refined" feeling, lol. Would be interesting to drive one to compare against older muscle cars. I know even my fox felt like a horse and buggy compared to my old Terminator and they had basically the same chassis.

Ford really needs to see how others handle traction control . Obviously not at this level, but my wife's Focus will just basically shut down rather than help you. It's much more drivable with winter tires, but without them it just is stuck. Pure crap.
my Ram is actually pretty neat. It will let you spin and have some fun, but steps in if its going to get stupid
Does it step in alot then?
