Factory Five is a cobra (AKA AC Cobra) replicar company that was designed to use a 5.0 mustang and a lot of it's components as the donor. Basically buy a 5.0 car, their kit, and have a cobra look alike (lol not really, but that's the intent)

Didn't mean to harass you with the Factory Five comment - it's just that every time I've heard of folks looking for a "donor car" I think Factory Five Racing, since that's the term they use in their literature for the source of many of the parts used in the construction of their cars, but not included in the cost of their Cobra kits. I built one with a friend years ago and it was a blast. Anyway, good luck with your project.

Nice pics! Enjoy the quality time in the garage! I have a bunch of BFGoodrich 2'x3' posters mounted on gatorboard on my garage walls - and one of them is that sweet red ( Merc? ) custom that is on the banner you have hanging. The other posters I have are a '65 Shelby R-model, a '66 Shelby, a Shelby Cobra, a few Vettes ( don't hold that against me ), and some others. They're nice and bright and make the garage look slick ( when it's not full of clutter - like it is now.... ).

Now - get to work on that coupe!!!
