Steering rack width

would anybody measure their fox body steering rack from tierod end center to tierod end center ?? i'm using a 99 rack on my 85 and i know it's a little wider but imma thinkin' my bumpsteer kit will make up the difference ?? or if i will hafta chop off a few threads from the ends ?? any help is greatly appreciated :)
