    95 tuning problems

OK I'll try to as brief as possible..
I am running the Anderson Motorsports PMS w/ the Uego 2000 air flow meter.

    The motor spec's
    347
    trickflow box R intake
    Abaco mass air
    75mm TB
    30lb injectors
    RHS 200/64 cast heads
Comp Cams @.050 lift Intake 224 Exhaust 236 lobe seperation 114.0
I am running it on pump gas..

    Now for the questions...

I am getting the typical surging in the motor at idle and going down the road after I let off of the throttle. What is causing this?

I can not get it to level out under min load. the car starts "bucking" this happens more frequently at lower RPM's, if I run it at 3800RPM and up it still shows up once and while but not as frequently.. the timing is showing up on the computer as jumping from 4 degrees to 35 degrees and will not settle down. this happens at idle and at part throttle. What do I need to look at or change to help with this problem?

I could keep going on but this is a starting point, I hope someone else can help me try to figure out what is going on.

dont really know about the tuning part of it, but I thought you had to run a 90 mm throttle body with that box r intake?

I think that you can put a 90mm tb on it. but I am using the elbow and it is only 75mm so that is why I went with the 75mm tb.

I also have the upper trickflow track heat intake and a GT40 that has been ported out.. I wasn't sure which one that I wanted to go with so I started out using the box R intake... anybody ever played around with any of these different intake combo's?

I am putting a new ignition system on it today and changed the plugs out.. hopefully this will make a difference and help me to get it tunned properly.

I second SGS, I've been happily going there since they opened out on a farm in the middle of nowhere.

I don't know what would cause the timing issue you are experiencing.

The idle surge is VERY common in 94-95's when a cam swap is performed. Make sure that you don't have vacuum leak anywhere first and foremost. What RPM is you idle set at? Usually a simple bump in idle to 900-1000rpms clears up the surge.

with the IAC unplugged I set the idle around 900rpm with it plugged in it is around 1000rpm.. I have checked multiple times for a vacuum leak and come up with nothing. I might take it to a local shop and have them perform a smoke check on the vacuum system just to double check it.. I have no drivability to it, it is either off the throttle or full throttle.

I finally got my car back from SGS and it is alot better now. at least it is drivable.. the weather has been bad so I really did not get to run it much but at least it will idle without me keeping my foot on the pedal. I am disappointed with the communication with SGS, but they did make it run better for a price.
