2 4barrle carbs aka a tunnel ram. Low rise dual 4's isnt that great. Just go single carb single plane intake and when ya want extra fun just spray it with a nice NX kit.

When it comes to tunnel rams maybe ask Timmy he has a bit more experience with them.

Tunnel rams are a big pain, very cool to look at while driving IMO, but a pain, i had over 4000$ invested in my last tunnel ram endevor and ended up taking it off, but the dude i sold it all to loves it on his daily truck, the biggest problem with it was consistincy.... i would run a 10,50, then a 10.70, then a 11.00, then a 10.60, when i switched to a single dominator it wwent 9.74,9.76.9.85. etc etc If you wanna do a NOS kit with dual carbs you have to either have 2 plates or a fogger system.. If you are thinking of building a 347 that is carbed, my small block shop car has less than 10,000$ in the engine and it runs 9.70s the car weighs 3000ish and has alot more left in the ET department, just never got a real solid run with it, it is a 347,mexican block, vr junior headed, 13.5:1 motor with a tiny NOS shot...

well, it would take right around 650-700hp to run a 3000lb car that fast.. dunno, never had it on a dyno..

it will bolt up and it will fit in your engine bay. Most components will cross over form a 302 to 251. If its a roller block even the cam will work.

418-427 is about as big as I'd consider with a stock block 351.
I do not want to sound like an @ss here, but you are asking a lot of very basic questions and based on what I'm reading you need to find a quality shop YOU can trust and make a plan. Otherwise i think you'll be getting yourself in over your head and spend money w/o getting what you really want. I'd also say trying to get with some guys with combinations you're considering and checking it out/going for a ride.
Again, i don't want to come across being too negative to you, just calling it like I see it. Good luck.

no, understood, I'll be the first to admit I do not have much engine knowledge. I have just been trying to think of some different setups to consider, and trying to research the cost of parts. I just dont really have any one to bounce ideas off of so thats why I post up on here, also dont really want to waste a shops time with all these questions, since I dont have the funds to do this project, but just trying to come up with a figure of round abouts what I'm aiming for as far as engine combo and price

    Cool, like I said, I didn't want to sound like a D-bag :)
What are your goals for the car?
If its a fun street and strip car and you have a '94 cobra, I'd go one of two ways if I were you: 1) heads/cam/supercharger or 2) naturally aspirated 408-418" stroked 351. In either case I'd definitely keep the EFI and bite the bullet and spend the $500 for a good SCT tune. But that's my opinion and it really depends on what YOU want from the end result and how much you want to pay (as usual right :) )

I'm hoping to throw a classic plate on it over the winter, so it wont get driven everyday, more a weekend cruiser. I want to try to get 450-500 hp out of it, was think a carb setup might be a lil less expensive to build and also something a lil different that you dont see in a 94 all the time. mix a lil old school with the new

Go for a ride in a built tuned carb car and then make your choice, I know what I like :)
Losing EFI on the Cobra will kill resale also.

If you go with a carb, what do you do with the electronics? if you are running an auto what about the signals that it get from the engine?

Could do several thiungs, Tie up the wireing harness nice and neat and only use what you need or pull it out nicely and save it. The second would be better in that case. Painless also can make you a setup so it plugs in correctly
