zx14 vs zx12

I think the driver mod is so much more important with bikes. The 14 (if that is the 14 in front???) definitely got the jump and sounds like he powershifted at redline all the way through. You couldn't even hear the 12 until he rolled by at the end. Maybe he gramma shifted the whole way?

I'm not up on my super-mondo HP rocket sleds these days. How much more powerful is the 14? Would it even equate to that much of a diff?

there's definitely more to that race than 1 bike being much better than the other.... i wouldn't expect even a poor rider to loose by that much...

traps aren't too far off, but that's a pretty big ET difference @ that speed - but who knows what kinda differences there are b/w riders, conditions, etc... but atleast its a bit of a benchmark to go off of

or it could be that some of us aren't posers, and don't like turning a boat... i never said it didn't perform... just that it handles like shit, (most of all) looks like shit, and 99% of guys that buy them couldn't push a 600cc bike thru a turn, let alone anything with more motor ...

I was at that race. I wont battle about what bikes should run or do run or what they look like cause yeah i dont know alot about bikes, and looks are all about opion. what i can say is the zx-12 got the leave, that was the deal and yeah he got it. but it clearly wasnt anuff. the zx-14 pulled an easy 15 lengths on him. after the race the kid on the zx-12 was real cool about it and talked for awhile, and he had been racoing bikes for some time and was no rookie on how to race the bike.
