he gave me a cash down payment then asked which I preffered, he's picking it up tomorrow and I said a cert check was ok, I'll just go to bank before we transfer it, Thanks for the info

still becareful, a bank will cash a certifed check even if it's fake, then once it clears it comes back on you. just a heads up.

yep, if you go on CL and to the bottom left it says craigslist scams you can learn about it.

Incase your wondering and i know you are, i'm the one that got the car. I knew about this forum for a while but never joined. Then he mentioned it tonight when he said about the rear tail light and i might be able to get one from here and i figured what the heck. I normally spend all of my time on the powerstroke forums but i guess i'll have to hang out here now and then also.

I didn't know that a bank would cash a certified check and not check to see if its legit. I just assumed that if it was certified they would call the other bank before it was cashed. He did txt me about bringing cash and I said it would be no problem. I'm not out to screw anyone over, and i understand that everyone has to watch their back.

haha i was just warning him....ive tried sellin stuff on there only to get 300 offers for a certified check but the person couldnt come get it, their "shipping company" would come get it. lol. welcome to the site and congrats on the new ride.

Mustang gt350 picked up the car today. Nice kid and great to deal with. I told him about this site and am sure you guys will help him out with whatever he needs
