Ford GT Rally pictures

Well, I just got back from vegas.... and I had one of the most incredible experiences of my life... I feel like I say that every time I go there, but this was different

I told some guys about it, but I gotta quote Nate here.... "damn, its a great meet if we could get just 10 terminators together"

A picture is worth a thousand words.... so I'll let them speak for themselves

I also checked out the Shelby plant down the street and have a ton of pics on my phone... saw about 250 GT500 KR's and a handful of Super Snakes.

It was a little slice of heaven for any car guy, let alone an SVT fanatic

edit: there were 138 GT's in attendance :)

Guy in West Mifflin has a GT with that special paint job. The teal/orange one. Its sick. Nice pics man. wish i was there

The heritage edition is sick, they look right at home on the track too... although my favorite is the white/blue stripe combo :)

Yeah it was a very sinister looking car.... I thought that blacked out c6z06's were one of the meanest looking cars, but I was just so impressed by everything about these cars that all of the vettes and porsches I saw cruising the strip just looked pretty docile afterwards. Vipers still looked mean to me though though, so I guess that says something

My pleasure, I had a great time. I got to ride in the yellow car that went 212mph at nardo... with Mark McGowen... the guy who does all of the testing with the car. Holy shit can he drive. His car was sideways for almost the entire 2 laps I had with him. It was incredibly smooth too. I wish I had some pictures of that, cause sometimes he would have smoke bellowing out of the rear fenders going around a sweeper that was 70-80 mph (there may have been quite a bit of paralex error in there with the way the GT's speedo is set up in the cockpit, so we may very well have been going much faster).

The one thing that I thought was funny was that some of the GT's that were driven hard looked like they were outpacing the nascars that were going down the back straight

Oh and scott and I were just joking around, I know he wants (or wanted) a torch red 10th himself. Although if he did want to pony up something with 6 figures for my car, I'd be more than happy to let go of it

Dave auctioned off the red car he just built for 260k that night. Twin turbo by heffner, styled by Camilo (lead styling designer for the GT & designed the front bumper for the 03/04 cobra)
