Well Kevin, I guess I should have gone to the Wexford show.
My idea for the day ... get a few runs in at Quaker City sounded good and was with the first two runs... 11.86 then 11.81... thats when the fun ended. On my third launch I didn't launch at all.
All kinds of noise and banging and the car didn't move.
Got her home and up on the lift to inspect the damage:
Front half of shaft twisted... ugly
Carrier bearing mounting bracket bent
Rear shaft CV joint blown up!

No I was not running slicks... but was running M&H Drag Radials

Already have my single piece shaft on order.
Oh well, that mod was next on my list anyhow... just very glad I didn't beat up anything else under the car.

Well in all fairness... I am nowhere near stock, and I was launching the thing at a dragstrip with 325/45 M&H drag radials when she went. It would be one thing if it happened at a stoplight on the street with the stock tires, its something else altogether with a 4,000 rpm launch at a drag strip with big ass sticky tires.

I am just happy there was no other damage! Hope to have a new single piece shaft by the end of the week.

Nice job Charlie. You done good. Ouch! You didn't miss much of a cruise it wasn't all that great. It was kind of a mish-mosh of a cruise. It was nice hanging out with the guys though.
