i used just my urethane upper isos to keep noise/harshness out of the body. and they make a short round urethane snubber to replace the oem tall pointy rubber one, but i took mine out all-together (ssm liftbars) 2¢ :)
they came with a pinion snubber but didnt know if it was worth the hassle and think i'll need cc plates or no

Yes you need cc plates. Hell, even stock suspension mustangs benefit from cc plates.
1991 Jewel Green Ford Mustang LX ~ 5.0L / 5-Speed
2011 Torch Red Ford Ranger ~ 2.3L / 5-Speed
1971 White Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu w/ Blue Stripes ~ 8.2L(502) / 4-Speed
Go with cc plates or you will be buying plenty of tires.
