I wish I could ditch the indigo in the cobra for white and have red needles. It would look way less 80's lol

not to hijack the thread but what did you have to do to remove the green tint on the factory overlay?? any time ive messed with gauges either i destroyed the overlay or have never been able to get the needles back in the right postion

back when i had my cougar i did the same type of overlay. i had to pull off the needles from the gauge cluster, then placed the overlay over the old face then put the needles back on

id love to change my dash lights to blue im just scared of ruining my cluster

I dunno about foxbodys, but with the sn95s, if you ever looked at the back of the stock overlay its actually blue, but the bulb that comes stock gives off a yellowish tint thats why it shows thru green.. And what needs to be done is get an ultra white bulb and put those in and bam you got blue interior lights. You do the same for the climtae controls.

im not sure about the gauges but i know the heater controls are the same from my car and the 2001 i have... i could change them pretty easily if they were colored differently.
ive seen people take nail polish remover to take the color off the overlay then they just get the colored bulb they need.
can anyone confirm if the fox body has a blue overlay??

You dont need just one big one, i am pretty sure if i remember correctly its 5 for the gauge cluster and 2 for heater controls.

I have seen this done also, but imo it didnt come out as good. The heater controls you could probably get away with but then you will have blue climate controls and green speedo

they are the WLED-x5 ones.. And you need to get COOL white NOT the warm ones

You will need seven if your doing them all and 5 if just the gauge cluster
