not to stick up for bush but most of those things were in the making for longer than one or two terms. we screwed ourselves a while ago. we put programs in place and didn't plan when we should have. its like not saving for retirement until the last 4 years and then blaming the market for not having enough.

another reason I don't think the media will mention it is you need to know where to go from here, not harp on the past, learn from it, but not drill it into people, I think it is clear that it was crappy.

Because not all that get elected follow through on the promises that were made to us while they were running. IMO the only reason Bush made a second term was because of 9/11. He told us we would get the bad guys, America was fired up, he was voted in. I too think Bush sounds/looks like a moron most of the time, and don't like either candidate running.
