Can anyone help me? I'm getting screwed.

As some of you may know a while back in my stupid days i spent $2500 on a DSS pro-bullet short block. It lasted all of 750 miles due to bad assembly. Now I couldn't prove it, well because my word vs theirs isn't good enough. Anyhow i've been trying to get my shortblock and other parts back i shipped to them, but i'm not a real priority to have calls and emails returned since they already ripped me for 2500. Anyhow i finally got a hold of them today, and I was told it's going to cost me $290.00 to have that short block frieghted back to me. That is just too expensive for me to feel comfortable paying to get my own parts back when they didn't even do anything to help me. So i am making this thread is to see if anybody out there has a shipping company hook up? I really can't afford to pay this to get back parts i can't even use. I'm looking for ideas, any help would be appreciated. Thank you. - billy.

The shipping for my shortbock from Chicago to Pittsburgh through Fordstrokers.com was $135. Search all of the big freight carriers and do a estimate.

Cant think off hand where huntington is but have it shipped to a business as well. It usualy makes it a few bucks cheaper.

The pallet rate I get at work would be like $35 for up to a 2,500 lb. pallet. Only problem is you're no where close.

I dont know if they will do it, but when I was getting estimates for my parts and new paint.. Dively's Auto Body suggested that I have the parts shipped to Valley Car Care, as the shipping would be less, then they would either go pick them up there or have VCC deliver them to their body shop.

Maybe they'd do the same for you with your parts, IF you could get that company to send them back!

If you arrange to pick it up at their trucking companys depot closest to you it will be way cheaper if they are charging you actual shipping. If you were closer I would have no problem receiving it for you at the shop but the fuel it would cost you to come get it would probably offset the savings.

Thanks for the help guys, i appreciate it. I have talked to a friend of mine who works at car care, and he is going to talk it over with his boss to see what he can do for me. Hopefully I can get it back here for a decent price. I hate being ripped off twice by the same company.
