    99-04 headlight knob removal

    what happens to be the trick to get off a 99-04 headlight knob?
    i rotated it and see there is a slot in it-whats next? want to change my cluster lens.:)

    push the metal tab in the slot towards you it will come right off.

    you'll have to get a real small flat blade screwdriver or other small flat device and stick in that slot like stated above, push in and pull knob off at same time.

    a coat hanger (metal) bent real sharp and then ground to a point like a fishing hook works pretty well

    mine was actually stuck on there... so i carved mine off with my hunting knife then took the metal piece off with some trouble still. i actually used pilers for that part.. then installed my billet one.

    I used the little Allen wrench that came with the billet knob to get to that tab.

    i tried my allen wrench with that but mine was stuck. like i said i actually had to get pliers to get it off. even with the entire knob off.... the piece of metal wouldnt come off
