My dad hit one tonight and letting it go overnight, just an average 8 he thinks. I will post pics up tomorrow one he gets it. I let a 7 point go tonight, I want something nice this year.

Thats cool! I haven't seen much movement out of the deer scene the full moon. Hope to see some tomorrow! good luck in your dads finding of his deer!

Thanks, it seems to me these deer are hitting the pre rut early this year. I have already seen 3 bucks roaming nose down and covering alot of ground. Now It's time to go out and freeze my ass off, good luck anyone going out today!

Went out after work today to try to put the hammer down on a few doe. On my way in I saw about 6-7 turkeys. From 4:30pm to 6:10pm was slow, but i was glad to be in the woods. About 6:15pm I had a buck come out of the timber into the field I was posted in. He walked around some....I grunted a few times but he didnt want anything to do with that....He was walking away from me so I switched to a bleat call and wouldn't you know it, that 8pt came running my way.....He stopped in my area....I put the range finder on him and it said 32yrds.....Now since I got my buck tag filled I didn't take him, but if I still had a tag I would have put him on the ground.

If my one buddy would have came hunting with me instead of sleeping (he works the night shift) he would have been able to fill his tag today.

Going out tomorrow after work......Taking a friend of mine out....he's never got a deer before, so tomorrow should be interesting since my trail camera has the 8pt I was talking about a few posts ago coming out every night just before 7pm....keep my fingers crossed and hope we can get something on the ground.

Yeah the young ones are sniffing. I have yet to see anything nice coming out of the thick stuff though, another week or so you will see deer laying all over roadways, then you know it's heating up!!

just got back from turkey hunting...not a good idea to do hungover. Sat around sick with a headache. bought a over and under 12ga yesterday to go. seen a chipmunk,2 rabbits,and 3 ducks...LOL and then on my way home i seen a pheasant standing along side the road.. but the bank was too high for my cavy to get up for it lol

Both bucks look nice and symetrical (<sp) Good luck on both. I wont be able to hunt till thursday but I'll be able to hunt all day long every day till the 15th.
