    Red face 2nd Debate debate

Well, as you all may have guessed, I have conservative views.

However, I don't necessarily like the man running for office for my party.
I do like the core republican policies.

It's just a shame that the undecided American people will vote for Obama because he is smarter and a better salesman.

Just remember this when he makes you pay higher taxes and makes you think you like it.

I have a vision that 2 years from now, we will see Obama on national TV addressing the American people and he will be crying.

I don't know what this means, but I have this vision???

Truth. You should also add in that he is 'trendier' to vote for.

My girlfriend and I had our first 'civil' conversation/debate about politics this weekend. She's a smart girl and well informed from the news, but she never looks past what the liberal media says and just laughs at Fox news for being so biased. Took me a half hour to get her to understand why the Democratic party is not doing her family any good and why Obama isn't what she thinks he is and that McCain is the better vote for both her family and for us if we were to get married anytime soon. Despite that, she is still voting for Obama. She lives in Ohio, which will be pretty close. Guys... I tried.

Part of me hopes that Obama gets elected and gets crucified for the media like Gdub did so that all of the big mouth liberal wieners can just cram it up their ass. Unfortunately, I feel like its not worth risking something like the presidency over.

This worries me. I can't picture Palin as President although I like many things about her. I just don't think she is ready for the big chair.

When Obama said health care should be a right I almost fell off my chair. That statement alone tells you all you need to know about the Democrats. They want to be big brother and legislate every aspect of peoples lives. Believe me, that kind of thinking will go way beyond just healthcare.

I can't think of one thing that the government runs that isn't in the red from mismanagement to outright thievery. HC will be another.

At least McCain is an honorable man. In my opinion the same can't be said for Obama.

Yep, tax the rich and feed the poor, healthcare for everyone, not to mention kissing the 2nd ammendment goodbye. Change, that's all you will have left if he gets in.

Yes, stop giving the tax breaks to the rich and start giving them to the middle class families. And I don't think better gun control has anything to do with taking away the second amendment.

More gun control=less 2nd ammendment rights, try enforcing the laws on the books which there are over 20'000 gun laws. Or are you one to think that you don't need an AK47 to hunt? I'll answer for you, it's not about hunting it's about our right to defend against all enemys, foreign and domestic. I beleive tax cuts should be even across the board, just cause your doing better than someone else does not mean you should be taxed more.

very nice. CNN would be very proud of you. As I stated, Obama is smarter and a better salesman. I was being nice. He is also a better LIAR! McCain don't have the charisma and he don't speak well, but he speaks the truth. Obama stood there in both of those debates and lied his ass off.

I almost feel like MBH above and hope he gets in so we can all say "I TOLD YOU SO" but it's just not worth gambling the whole country over this idea.

Stop talking out of your ass.

I'll spell it out for you:

    CAPITAL GAINS TAX
    MCCAIN
0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.

    OBAMA
28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)

    DIVIDEND TAX
    MCCAIN
    15% (no change)

    OBAMA
39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.')

    INCOME TAX
    MCCAIN

    (no changes)
    Single making 30K - tax $4,500
    Single making 50K - tax $12,500
    Single making 75K - tax $18,750
    Married making 60K- tax $9,000
    Married making 75K - tax $18,750
    Married making 125K - tax $31,250

OBAMA (reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts)
    Single making 30K - tax $8,400
    Single making 50K - tax $14,000
    Single making 75K - tax $23,250
    Married making 60K - tax $16,800
    Married making 75K - tax $21,000
    Married making 125K - tax $38,750
Under Obama, your taxes could almost double!

    INHERITANCE TAX
    MCCAIN
    - 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)

    OBAMA
    Restore the inheritance tax

Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.

    NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA

New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least....New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!

You can verify the above at the following web sites:

You have the freedom of speech but you can't just go around and say whatever you want to whomever you want. Just because its an amendment doesn't mean that every citizen should be given the right to carry a firearm. There are too many idiots out there already that own a gun and think they can shoot whatever they want to.

What did he lie about? I'll give you one thing, he is smarter. I would hate to have the smarter candidate in office.

The privatization act that McCain supports isn't very good either.

Sorry about that. I'll post a new thread specifically about Obama and taxes. I could oppose him for his tax plans alone.

Thanks BO. I don't have the energy to do the research anymore. Does anybody read an unbiased newspaper, watch an unbiased TV program or THINK FOR THEMSELVES anymore.

Just sit down in front of your TV and watch 99% of the garbage that is fed to you by the mainstream liberal media, go forth and make poor decisions.

My pleasure. I'm soooooooooo sick of morons toting Obama as the answer to all of their problems that Bush caused them (not congress, obviously).

My mom is a certified public accountant, so I heard all about this stuff growing up. I feel like I owe it to her to spread light on the subject that so many people just rattle off dumb things about.

McCain is down to Obama 9 points in the polls right now, right?
You know what a fun fact to throw out for liberals to fume over is? Bush won over Kerry and he was down 11 points at this time.

Talk is cheap. The only way to win an argument is with facts :)

Listen, as I already stated, I am a conservative, I already know I'm voting for McCain, but I'm still willing to sit there and watch both of them in the debates. It's just human nature and body language... Obama lied his ass off.

Plus, if you want to do some research (not watching more liberal TV) everything he has voted for in the past is the exact opposite of everything he has said so far in both debates.
