If you have a job, you should be a republican... end of story. If you have no other morals whatsoever, what else is there other than the "tax issue". Other than your paycheck, how else to you REALLY participate in any government programs. And, the health insurance is BS because he's going to raise your income tax 10%. I would rather pay my company that 10% to get me health insurance than letting the feds screw it all up.

You must be harboring some kind of bleeding heart white guilt.

If you don't have a job and/or you're on welfare or some other program like social security disability, then by all means, vote democrat. That makes sense. If you rely on the gov't to run your life, then so be it.

    I don't and I never want to.

If Obama gets elected, I'm going to buy a bar and call it "First of the Month". I'll only be open from the 1st until the 15th (when they all run out of money) of every month. I'll sell Pabst Blue Ribbon by the case and Jacks by the carton. No seats, just a concrete floor with a hole to piss in.

If the gov't is going to take all my money in taxes, I'll just get it right back the next month.

And a lot of law-abiding citizens use it for hunting, for sportsmanship, and for protecting their families. We also have a violence on the streets that is the result of illegal handgun usage. And so I think there is nothing wrong with a community saying we are going to take those illegal handguns off the streets. And cracking down on the various loopholes that exist in terms of background checks for children, the mentally ill. We can have reasonable, thoughtful gun control measure that I think respect the Second Amendment and people's traditions."

"We can reconcile those two realities by making sure the Second Amendment is respected and that people are able to lawfully own guns, but that we also start cracking down on the kinds of abuses of firearms that we see on the streets."

I still fail to see where he will take away your right own a gun. Unless your a dangerous person (and I have met and talked to you back in the day so I know your not) I don't see how it will affect you and those responsible enough to own a firearm.

Offtopic but thats a nice sig/picture of your car.

Guns don't kill people.....people kill people.

The criminals will still get the guns.....whether the rest of the general public has them or not.

You should read phiferno (or whatever his screen name is) post about the POS scumbag that tried to break into his buddies house until he pointed a gun at him. What would have happened if he didn't have anything to point???

+1, while I'm glad I'm not a part of it - I always want to know what the other side is thinking. Picking "sides" isn't going to lead to progress, finding solutions to our problems will.

Read the thread. I don't like his privatization, war and abortion ideas in addition to his support to Bush. I am on my iPhone now and don't feel like pulling up stuff.

That is why as of this year he only wants to tighten up gun control laws, which I think is a good idea. We could argue both sides all night long but in the end your gonna have your opinion and I'll have mine, and I think we are both set in what we think.
For your info the clinton assault weapons ban went from 1994-2004, he made this statement in 2004 after we got some of our rights back.

KEYES: [to Obama]: I am a strong believer in the second amendment. The gun control mentality is ruthlessly absurd. It suggests that we should pass a law that prevents law abiding citizens from carrying weapons. You end up with a situation where the crook have all the guns and the law abiding citizens cannot defend themselves. I guess that's good enough for Senator Obama who voted against the bill that would have allowed homeowners to defend themselves if their homes were broken into.
OBAMA: Let's be honest. Mr. Keyes does not believe in common gun control measures like the assault weapons bill. Mr. Keyes does not believe in any limits from what I can tell with respect to the possession of guns, including assault weapons that have only one purpose, to kill people. I think it is a scandal that this president did not authorize a renewal of the assault weapons ban.

The phrase more common sense laws means they don't won't us to own them, period. They will take care of us, supply us with health care, and now they are well on their way to taking over the whole financial system, so what's next, this is nothing but socialism in the making and if hussein gets in this will be the end of the US as we know it. Also not to mention his muslim ties, but have no fear he told you he's a christian. Also his ties to domestic terrorist bill ayers, rev wright, who by the way is nothing but a racist and hussein went to him for 20 years, had his children baptized by him.

She said that oh look how they highlight parts from two different sections of that page to make a sentence etc. So I paused it, let her read it, and asked her if they didn't do a good job of paraphrasing the whole page so that it could fit in the video. It's really a heartbreaker when you believe that your candidate is a gift from God, and then you read some FACTS about their history.

She also HATES Palin. I joked with her that I hope she looks half as good when she is her age, so I don't think I won any points on that one hahaha.

But its ridiculous that everyone compares Obama to Palin. Its almost like he's a second rate presidential candidate just to make him sound good.

experience will lend itself to understanding in the office, so lets humor the obama and palin comparrison.

Man! By the looks of the polling .... I better run out and get that Bushmaster A3 M4 223 Carbine I've been procrastinating on!

BTW - You guys catch this BS around ACRON? Totally disgusting! Makes me not even want to vote ... knowing the election can be rigged by criminals! There should be an immediate investigation and all voter registrations submitted with the help of ACRON should be thrown out! If you're to stupid and lazy to register yourself you DON'T DESERVE the PRIVILEGE to vote.

Just goes to show how extreme the liberals are and will do anything to obtain power. If you have no picture ID (drivers license) with address and proof of citizenship then you should not be allowed to vote.

    Exclamation Just a thought...

Assuming an impending democrat victory in November, I would like to jump on the bandwagon, ASAP. Where do I go to sign up for the wealth Obama is going to spread around? I want to be near the top of the list.

If there is a Democrat victory, will there be rioting in the streets in celebration (like OJ's aqquital), or rioting in the streets if there is a defeat (like Rodney Kings beating)?
