How strong is the legal stuff? I had some once that a friend got online and it was like 120 proof or so. Was supposed to make you hallucinate I guess, but it got us so drunk that we didn't really notice any other effects

I had some of that stuff when I was in Atlantis. Tastes like shit IMO, nobody really liked it much. I was there for a week with 4 friends and we barely got it past the shoulders of the bottle (I think it was just a 750ml one too)

you're crazy! Maybe the different brands taste a lot different. Mine tasted like peppermints on roids - although I think you're supposed to drop a lump of sugar into it or something. We never bought sugar or anything other than booze cause everything is ridiculously expensive there. (how does $4 for a single can of coke sound?)

Your sure its absinthe? Last year i bought a bottle of Absinte which is an imitation of the real stuff. It does tase like shit especially if you pour water over suger into the liquer like your supposed to.

The real stuff DOES NOT make you hallusicante either. Studies have shown that the concentration of the toxins produced by the wormwood are far to small in a single bottle. You would die of alcohol poisoning before you halucinated.

me or him? Yes I'm sure mine was, I was in Nassau, I wasn't in the states. And I've heard that the hallucination is just a myth as well.

yes it's real absinthe and the fact that u will die before hallucinations is why it is now legal however u do feel more "aware" of how drunk u are. It's like a clear drunk if u can imagine that. Anyways it's called lucid when mixed with sugar it is exactly like black licorise. I enjoyed it.

The name on the stuff i bought was Absinte and it came with a spoon to hold the sugar cube and everything. Even had a green fairy on it. Me and the roomates drank that bottle before we went out that night for dollar drinks. Needless to say i dont remember how i got home.

lucid is united states legal liquer derived from wormwood.

and you are in fact supposed to at the very least, should you not like the sugar, drip cold water into the glass you are drinking out of (albeit shot glass or chalise) until the entire liquid is a cloudy color. i want to say its green but its really not very much green.

I saw lucid at a liquor store is South Carolina but couldn't bring my self to pay the $60 for it, so I bought a $15 bottle of everclear instead. Though about having som e Absinthe imported from Europe, but I'm not sure how customs would work.
