Appeal a ticket?

The GF got a speeding ticket near Leetsdale on the red belt in a 25 mph zone. She has a appearance in front of the magistrate next week. She knows she was guiltly and paid the ticket. When I lived in MD you could plead your case to the Judge & often walk away with probation before judgement. You paid the fine and got no points if you stayed clean for a year. Do they do that in PA? Any advice?

Plead not guilty.. if nothing else, go in and say your sorry and beg for mercy... Often, as long as you dont catch the magestrate on a bad day, you will atleast get the points knocked off....

usually if you dont deny you were speeding and ask for the points to be dropped the cop/judge will work together to not give out points. (i've gotten out points many times telling the judge that the fine is no problem but i cant afford to have points on the licence.)

you have to plead your case there,she will know what she's getting before she leaves the court room.

also, she paid the ticket but still has a hearing???? she's not sposa pay until the hearing day. court cost ($50 is what is was) will be added onto her fine.

She went in front of the local judge today & pleaded for mercy. He lowered the speed to 5 over, no points.

I got pulled over this past summer and got an obedience ticket just for calling the officer Sir and minding my manners. He had me clocked going a speed I could have lost my license over.

The cop actually told me I was the first person that day not to argue that I was speeding. I guess it pays to give em a little respect.

being respectful has always worked for me, like a week after i got my mustang i was being an idiot and a statey pulled me over....I couldve lost my license but all i got was the disobeying traffic signs? and a $107.50 fine.

When I pull someone over and they admit to the reason I pulled them over or they are just a generally polite person, they usually get a written warning.
